Bathroom Tiles

I never really had a sense of the importance of bathroom tiles until I rented a house last year. You see, my parents were not particularly adept at bathroom interior design. They weren't really adept at interior design in general. They were art lovers, but they were not decorators. They would buy paintings in some very nice art galleries, but they would hang them in a haphazard manner all over the house. They had great taste in art, but no sense of presentation. As such, the bathroom tiles in my house were dreary like everything else. They were that boring checkerboard style, and they were will long past their prime.
This house was much different. The owner had clearly put a lot of effort into decorating it. There were tiles all over the place – it seemed like one of his favorite motifs. The bathroom tile design was especially impressive. It all had a very Mediterranean feel to it. There were orange tiles on the sink with a translucent, shimmering look to them. On the floor, the tiles had a slightly greenish blue color. They were rich and vibrant, like a Mediterranean Ocean. I hate to say this, but that bathroom was beautiful. Even the bathroom mirror was nice. It was surrounded by bathroom tile in reds, greens and blues. It had a kind of random look to it, but I had no doubt that it was actually carefully designed. The bathroom rugs were also nice. I have never been in a house where they leave so many furnishings for us, but their it was. He was a pretty accommodating landlord, and he took care of us. Not only did I enjoy my stay there, but I got a lot of ideas about how to decorate my own house. When I bought a house the following year, I thought a lot about what kind of bathroom tiles I wanted to use. I did not want to copy the decorating style from the house I had just and stayed in, but I did use it for inspiration. In the end, I tiled the floor in green, blue, and yellow. It had a shimmering, speckled look to it. The sink was done up in rose and orange, looking careless and haphazard, but also attractive and whimsical. All in all, I was extremely happy with the way the bathroom tiles turned out. I've never lived in such an attractive house before.PrintShare it! — Rate it: up down flag this hub
