Don't sign up all your prospects

When you first start your business you may feel that anyone joining your business is good news.Think again.

You have to to quickly sift through the ones who are really serious and the ones who just buy into the dream but then do nothing.

Most people coming into a home based business are coming from an employee background.Then have no experience of working for themselves.They just go to a job in the morning do what they are told to do then go home,longing for Friday night or that summer vacation.

Everyone wants more money but what are they prepared to do to get it?Here you have to watch out for those with the lottery mentality.I once worked in and office where the was a lottery syndicate.Every two weeks people would put a small some on money and then wait to see if the jackpot came in.It never did.

Pick the true believers

This lottery mentality will be replicated in a home based business so make sure it doesn't find itself infecting your team.These people buy into the dream of success by signing up but are never willing to put in the effort to make it succeed.

For there will be obstacles to success that your team will encounter.The person with the employee mentality will either give up or expect you to fix the problem.Those with an entrepreneurial mindset will see a problem as an opportunity to improve their skill sets.They will become better people and be able to help those that come after them solve the same problems.

Then they set themselves up as a leader to others growing their own business at the same time.They will discover who they really are and what makes them tick.The money will just be a by product.

If they were in it just for the money then they they could quit right now and just get a loan for that car they want.No, they must want more than that if they are to succeed.The"why" must be personal evolution or nothing will happen.

So when interviewing your prospects find out where they are right now in their career and they that have that entrepreneurial drive to overcome failure. Then be able to deal with the feelings that failure will bring up inside them.

Once they have been through this process the next obstacle they face will be that much easier to overcome.The employee mindset type will be blaming you for their problems or more likely just quit.

Better to have never recruited such people, than to waste your time managing them once they are on team.Interview well and this problem will just not come up.
