Reading inspirational and beach quotes has always been a stress relief activity and escape for me. Nowadays even more so. Now and then when I’ve had enough hearing of our global problems, ugly news and pessimistic comments, I take a much needed time out. Just a few minutes is all it takes to read my inspiring beach quotes, refocus and prevent injuries to myself or anyone else within my path. I’m kidding! The best part is I can sit in a corner whenever and wherever I choose to carry this out and I don’t have to pack or travel at all.

According to ancient mythology and philosophers everything in nature is made up of the four basic elements, water, fire, wind and earth. No doubt water is the most awe inspiring , thought provoking and while gentle at times, the most powerful of all the elements. Not that Fire, Wind and Earth are any less important as I‘m sure any one of these standing alone will not carry the same magnificence that together they all do. I’m just a bit biased as I am a Scorpio, one of the three water signs and partial to surfs, waves, oceans and lakes. These four elements are considered the building blocks of the whole universe and are still looked upon today to make sense of the world.

Each day as we go about our ways we experience combinations of the different elements, or encounter them all within the same day. We are conscious of being warmed by the sun, we cleanse our bodies with water, we feel the wind blowing our hair or trees and walk about the earth. Around the world the color blue symbolizes and represents the water, the source of life.  

The facts that water carries the energy and strength to calm and soothe us speaks for itself. Our planet is 71 percent water and 29 percent land mass. We have now 5 oceans including the Pacific, Atlantic, Indian, Southern and Artic, listed in order of size.

Water is said to have feminine energy and the qualities of a Goddess. It is used for healing, cleansing, and purification purposes and most often associated with passion and emotion. Other common characteristics of those born within the water signs of Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces are of psychic nature, mystical properties and intuition. Water signs are the feelers, the nurturers and the caretakers.

No wonder we can find comfort in reading beach quotes and imagining the calm blue tranquil beach beyond. The mere act transport us to a better place.
