Get More Hose With Beam EasyReach Hose

They have done it again!  Beam seem to be able to keep ahead of the market with new and innovative ideas for their central vacuum systems.

Their latest idea is a hose that comes out of the wall to give you extra length when you want to vacuum areas further away from the inlet.  The hose then retracts back into the inlet, leaving you with a short 13’ hose to carry to the next inlet, and you can repeat this process again if you wish.

The product is called the Beam Q EasyReach hose.  As I said you only have to bring a short hose to each vacuum inlet socket, pug it in and you can extend the hose length to an very expansive 30’, which is more than adequate to allow you to reach all areas of the space to be vacuumed, from the floor to the ceiling.

Another advantage of this new accessory is that it allows you to operate a power brush, and this is the only retractable hose that gives this level of versatility.

These people at Beam seem to know how to keep ahead of the posse.

Beam Central Vacuum Accessories.

Most, if not all manufacturers of central vacuum systems offer accessories with their products and the good people at Beam are no different. As a matter of fact Beam are probably one of the better companies to have an array of accessories to compliment their central vacs. Accessories are the little gadgets that are specialised in dealing with such individual cleaning tasks such as dog hair, computer keyboards, window blinds and such.

Beam’s newest product is a hand powerbrush, which is a motorised power brush which rotates 180 degrees and which is ideal for stairs and furniture. This seems like a nifty product and adds to their already impressive stable of accessories which include dusting brushes, car care kits, vac pans, pet grooming tools and bare floor tools. Their mini vac accessory is useful for such intricate tasks as cleaning your computer keyboard, vacuuming vents and doing other tricky tasks.

All in all, Beam are doing a pretty good job of keeping up in the central vacuum accessory race. If you would like to have a look at a website that looks at all aspects of central vacuums, their advantages and disadvantages and much more besides, why not visit http://thecentralvacuum.com. I know that they are pretty good at coming back to you if you have a question or want to leave a comment.

The ‘Beam’ Central Vacuum Crevice Tool , Great Invention, Strange Spelling.

I love those people at ‘Beam’. Not only do they invent strange central vacuum accessories, but they give them strange and varied spellings as well.

I decided that I would have a look at what sounded like a rather dangerous implement, the ‘Beam 36” Crevice Tool’. It sounded more like a sword than a C.V. accessory, and with my interest piqued, I got it up on the web and checked it out. Impressive looking and great for getting into those very hard to reach places, such as under your fridge (as per the promotional video), behind pieces of furniture and down the backs of upright radiators, I imagine, if they are not set too close to the wall.

What did cause me some puzzlement however, was the fact that it is called a ‘crevice tool’ in one section and a ‘crevise tool’ in another section. It may be just a case of ‘Tometoe, Tomatoe’ if you know what I mean, and maybe it is just an advertising ploy – it certainly caught my attention.

Beam Central Vacuum Accessories Up There With The Rest.

I am not necessarily an advocate for ‘Beam’ central vacuums. I don’t dislike their product, but there are many other good central vacuum system products out there also. I do like companies that make the effort to supply good accessories with their central vacuum product and ‘Beam’ are certainly up there. They are not the only company that have interesting accessories. Other companies that do a good job are Lindsay Manufacturing, Vacuflo and Hoover and MD’s offerings are very interesting also.

All of these companies have accessory tools that are worth looking into and not only have they a range of products, but they are easily available to purchase and they can be purchased individually. Other companies have accessories for sale and some of them are interesting but they seem to be more inclined to sell them as part of a kit, which means that you have to purchase items that you might not necessarily want or worse, already have.

So, well done to those companies that make it easy for customers to purchase their central vacuum accessories.

Some Beam Accessories

See Your Pet Gleam With ‘Beam’!

Sorry about the corny heading, but sometimes you just have to let go. There are a lot of central vacuum manufacturers that produce pet grooming kits, but I quiet like the ‘Beam’ offering as you get a pet grooming brush, a curry brush and a pin comb as part of the set.  I also liked the promo video of the beautiful dog getting the once over with what I presume to be the grooming brush.

Ahh, it looked so peaceful!  I know that if I tried to use a central vacuum appliance on my own dog, I would probably have to get a ladder to fetch him back down from the television satellite dish, he would jump so high.  However, that is not the people at ‘Beams’ problem, it is simply my dog’s insecure nature.  ‘Serene’ is not a word that he understands!

They also provide a range of brushes that have excellent suction and are specifically used for removing pet hair from furniture and carpets.  These are different brushes to the ones you use on your pet and don’t confuse them, or your dog / cat / hamster may not thank you for it. Only joking!

‘Beam’ Premier Tools, But Why The Lights?

So here it is – the ‘Beam Premier Tool Kit’. A very nice collection of tools including a crystal tool, a floor tool, a dusting brush, an upholstery brush and a crevice tool, which, you might remember, we wrote about earlier.

Again the promotional video is great to look at and I can see how and why there are different heads with different bristles, which are designed to deal with various surfaces and applications. I mean you are not going to clean your special crystal with the same head that you had for rooting around the back of the settee.

What did puzzle me however, was the fact that all of these tools come complete with LED lights. I hope that I do not sound too smart here, as I do not mean to, but why do I need LED lights on my premier tools? I reckon that it is unlikely I am going to be vacuuming my crystal or rooting under my fridge in the dark. But, I suppose you never know. Maybe a new idea for ‘Beam’ could be luminous or ‘glow in the dark’ accessories – what fun we could have!
