Beard Trimmer Musings
77I've never needed a beard trimmer before. All my life I have wanted to grow a beard, but for some reason I never did - until now. I guess the main reason that I didn’t is that some beards just have a burly Neanderthal look about them. This is great if you live in Alaska and the main reason you grow one is to keep the pesky mosquitoes off your tender cheeks and neck, believe me this works. That is where I decided to grow my beard, but when I got home I felt the need to have a little of a more groomed look. So I decided to get a beard and mustache trimmer.
First, there are many on the market. From those that can do just basic beard trimming to some that can be used as a hair trimmer to some of the more well known name brands, such as Norelco, Braun, the and Whal beard trimmer (Paul Harvey used to recommend this one all the time).
Norelco beard trimmers are good choice. They produce one of my favorite models which is the Philips t980 beard trimmer. I like this one because it is self sharpening, has nine adjustable lengths. The best feature in my opinion is the built in vacuum, which will catch about 95% of those pesky little hairs that land all over the sink and floor. That is something to keep in mind to keep the wife happy as well as keeping the stubble from going everywhere. Also when you’re looking for around be sure that it is a cordless model. Braun beard trimmers are reliable and tough enough. Paul Harvey's favorite Whal model is recommended by more barbers and beauticians than any other as a professional beard trimmer. They almost always come an adjustable and removable trimming guide. Refer to your manual to find a description and details. Until you have mastered the trimming guide use the longest length.

Beard Trimmer Final Thoughts
Well I have gone over the top brands and some of the features with you. And I hope that I have been helpful in assisting you with your search. Growing a beard is a test of patience and will. Don’t get caught up with what other people think. If you haven’t started growing a beard yet and are planning to, a good rule of thumb is not to trim it for about four weeks. Otherwise you run the risk of over trimming before it fully matures. Don’t trim it when it is wet. Hair is longer when wet. So you might trim more than what you wanted thus destroying your perfectly good look. The great news is that it will grow back if you do make a mistake or decide to shave it off. I know I have certainly enjoyed having a beard and seeing the reactions from my friends and family makes it totally worth it. I did a lot of research on the subject, and would like believe that what I've shared with you will help you find the best beard trimmer.
