You hear a lot today about how to get to the top of the search engines without paying for it. Mark Knowles just wrote a very interesting article on Hub Pages citing Will Reynolds' (from Thinkseeker.com) techniques. That is it is very important to use backlinks and do a lot of keyword research before you publish. I would also point out Jack Humphrey and Howie Schwartz's methodology as being extremely important in "Conversation Domination",as Howie puts it. You will hear over and over again from all the "gurus" that leveraging social networking is import and getting your blog links on those sites is important as well due to the high traffic on those sites like Facebook, Myspace and youtube.
