Lebanese songstress Rula Saad called up the assistance of some talented kids in her new video clip for the song “Beidak Ana” (On Your Birthday) which led some people to charge her with attempting to imitate Lebanese singer Nancy Ajram. Ajram made a similar video clip for the song “Shakhbat Shakhabeet,”.

Saad has said that Ajram is a well known singer who is adored by many fans; but she refuses to be compared to her. She continues, explaining that even though both singers use little children in their videos, each song has its own message.

Rula’s song is for kids who are adopted. In the clip she plays the part of a famous star filming a scene, where the manager approaches her and tells her something important causing her to leave after that in a hurry. She then goes home and the scene changes to giving a birthday party for the child she has adopted. The video clip accentuates adoption. The lyrics for the song “Beidak Ana” are composed by Ahmad Madi and Hisham Bolis, and produced by Merna Khayat. The video was filmed at Rula’s home in northern Lebanon.

Apart from singing Saad is beginning a new Egyptian film. According to the London daily Elaph, this is not Rula’s debut movie. Rula went into acting prior to becoming a singer. She will be going off to Egypt to start shooting her new film by Dr. Samira Muhsen and produced by Eyhab Radi. Other roles will be played by Khaled Zaki, Sami Eladel, and Riham Abdel Ghafor.
