Beautiful Art and Anime

Beauty in Art
Although I do not claim to be an expert in art of any style I am one who definitely appreciates it. I love pictures of characters who own big eyes and expressive faces. The Japanese have such talent in this area.
My oldest loves the anime art and has a few of the movies within that realm: 'Rumbling Hearts' series 1-3 by Kiminozo? A Funimation film. Also 'Brain Powered' volume 1, called Birth a Bandai entertainment film. In music, a cd called: The Best of Anime, which includes the sailor moon theme, and Speed Racer in English language version. The movies are wonderful to watch, and the music great to listen to. So creative and unique! You can't help but get sucked into the world of anime within a short time.
I don't know if the books by Manga are true anime, but the faces look it to me. My son has a few of the series 1-8 of: Battle Vixens, by Yuji Shiozaki. King of Thorn 1-3 by Yuji Iwahara. Plus: Chobits by Clamp, along with the Chobits Art Book, entitled 'Your Eyes Only'. It is full of pictures of a beautiful girl with huge eyes and light hair, depicted as if she is modeling in different scenarios. The talent of these artists is amazing! There is also Dears by Peach-Pit 1-8 and Brain Powered vol. 1-8, art by Yukiru Sugisaki, story by Yoshiyuki Tomino. These stories I have listed are just a few out there. When we go to the book stores, it is overwhelming how many books and series are available just in the anime section! I cannot even begin to mention them all, but I love to look at the art. What I guess surprised me most was you read the book, you start from the back and go towards the front. Such a different concept, being I was always an avid book reader growing up and still attempt to be. Don't you have to wonder how things will change when our kids, kids show their talents in the art world and technology of the future?
Another look at art
Whenever I had the chance to go into an art museum I was use to classic, Renaissance and contemporary art. Even Impressionistic, and modern. Now a whole new world has opened up to me. Do they have anime art in the museums now? I have not been in so long...I don't know, but perhaps I need to find out.
I have one favorite shop I love to visit when I do get out to our local mall. It is run by a Korean woman who carries all forms of Asian art in figurines, pictures and tapestry. Anime is the biggest part of it. I can stay there for hours just admiring it all. I am definitely a fan. I have to admit its all because my son opened my eyes to a whole new world...the world of anime!
