I know this is a departure from my usual stand on female fighters.
I usually try to focus on women that are talented rather than just look good.
But I thought, why not for once do something that incorporates both?
So here are some women from the worlds of wrestling, boxing, martial arts and MMA that not only look good, but ARE good!
By the way, this list is in no particular order.

Sarah Ponce is a fashion model and a swimsuit model. You may have seen her work in the Ujena swimsuit catalogs.
But this woman is a knockout in more ways than one.
She's not had kickboxing training, but training in Sanshou, a Chinese hand to hand combat, self-defense system, and combat sport.
Sarah is so good that she was a member of the USA Sanshou team at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
And that's not all....she was the IKF Women’s Amateur IR U.S. Featherweight Champion, the USKBA Amateur Women’s San Da Lightweight International Champion, and WCL veteran with the Houston Enforcers.
She is a member of Team USA and competed at the 9th World Wushu Championships in Beijing, China.
Sarah was also a U.S. team member at the 2005 World Wushu Championships which took place in Vietnam.

Michelle "The Karate Hottie" Waterson was born on January 6, 1986 in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
She made her MMA debut on February 16, 2007 at Ring of Fire 28: Evolution with a win over Andrea Miller.
Her current MMA record is 5-3-0.
Michelle's last fight was a loss to Elena Reid on April 11th, 2009 at SNMMA - Extreme Beatdown.

I have sung the praises of Elizabeth Carolan (Beth Phoenix) on several Hubs and blogs, but the "Glamazon" really is a force to be reckoned with.
Besides being the first female varsity wrestler in her high school's history, she was the North-East Wrestling Women's Champion (72 kg weight class) in 1999 and also the New York State Fair Women's Champion (72 kg weight class) in the same year.
I know pro wrestling is scripted, but this lady's wrestling skill and raw power isn't.

Lisa Marie Varon is a former IFBB Pro Fitness competitor, Ironwoman Tri-Fitness competitor, former WWE Diva (Victoria) and current TNA Knockout (Tara) who is looking to move into female MMA.
From what I have read, she has plunged head first into mixed martial art training (and Jiu Jitsu training), and if she can combine her mat skills and get a good striking game, this lady should be a force to contend with.

Female boxer Franchesca "The Chosen One" Alcanter was born on March 6th, 1973.
Franchesca once worked as a model and at one time was a Miss Hawaiian Tropic.
Her boxing record is 18-9-1.
Her last boxing match was a loss to Ina Menzer in Bremen, Germany for the WIBF Women's International Boxing Federation featherweight title.

Mia Rosales St. John was born on June 24, 1967 in San Francisco, California.
She is a female professional boxer, female MMA fighter, model, author and Tae Kwon Do champion.
Her boxing record is 45-10-2, her last fight being a loss to Brooke Dierdorff in Tamaulipas, Mexico on April 4th, 2009.
To my knowledge she has only had one MMA fight, and that was a win over Rhonda Gallegos on January 26, 2008 in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Everyone knows about Gina Carano, but if she decides to stay in Hollywood, this young lady may be her natural successor.
Erin Young Toughill was born on June 13, 1977 in Chicago, Illinois.
She is a female MMA fighter and boxer and former American Gladiator.
Erin made her boxing debut on September 27th 1999, at the at World Vale Tudo Championship 9 in Aruba.
Less than a year later, on July 20th, 2000, she made her first boxing match in Irvine, California.
Despite starting off slow (her first MMA fight was a draw and her first boxing match was a loss), Erin now has a 7-3-1 boxing record and a 10-2-1 MMA record.
Erin is one female fighter to keep an eye on.
