Natural Ways for Beautiful Hair

We spend a huge amount of time on our hair, having it cut, styled, blow-dried and of course having various other treatments such as colourings or perms. Our hair literally is our crowning glory and if our hair looks and feels good, then we instinctively feel good too.

In addition to making us look and feel good, our hair does have an important purpose after all in that it regulates the temperature of our bodies and of course, keeps our head warm. Hair is actually an extension of our outer layer of skin and is made up of protein mainly. On average, a hair cell lasts for approximately three years and then it falls out or grows out. Usually the hair cell is replaced.

There are a lot of natural treatments that we can use to make our hair feel healthy and happy and it is worth experimenting until we find the ones which suit us the most:

Lemon Juice

Lemon juice can add some soft and natural looking highlights to hair, especially if added prior to spending some time in the sun.

Essential Oils

Adding essential oils to your shampoo is a wonderful idea; simply add about twenty drops of oil to a diluted bottle of shampoo.

Egg Treatment

Mixing an egg with a little shampoo will help to feed the protein in our hair. Leave for five minutes and then rinse off.

Avocado

Mix a very ripe avocado with one egg (remember to remove the pit) and then apply this to wet hair, leaving on for approximately twenty minutes. Ensure that you rinse your hair several times. Avocados are high in vitamins, minerals and essential fatty acids and will leave your hair feeling wonderful.

Beer

Beer is renowned for improving the condition of hair and preventing it from being lifeless. Mix 3 tablespoons of beer into half a cup of warm water and then rub this in following shampooing and rinsing. Leave it for a few minutes and then rinse off.

Meditation

Meditation boosts inner health and leaves you with deep contented peace and contentment, natural beauty starts from within and if you feel good, your hair will also shine.

Nutrition

Having a healthy diet is so important as if we feel healthy then we will radiate the health through our skin and hair.
