Ireland is a beautiful European country to explore, As an island It is divided into two separate political countries with Northern Ireland being part of the United Kingdom and Ireland (Republic of Ireland) being a separate country, both regions are rich in tradition, heritage and outstanding beauty, Ireland weather is mild but changeable the summers can be hot and humid where as winters can be cold and prone to the full force of Atlantic storms, However whatever the weather you will be amazed at the beauty of this wonderful island,


The Coastline

Ireland is a small country but it has a coastline that measures around 3500 miles, some of the most famous Irish coastline are the Giant's Causeway and the Cliffs of Moher which attract a lot of tourism, however you will be amazed at the outstanding beauty that can be found by car or by foot, Irish coastlines can be a wonderful place to explore and offer the opportunity to take some wonderful pictures.

Poulnabrone Dolmen

There are over seventy megalithic tombs in The Burren area and The Poulnabrone Dolmen is the most well known and most easily accessible, Located on the karstic limestone pavement of the Burren, County Clare, Ireland, East of the Ballyvaughan, excavations in 1968 found that the tomd contain the remains of between 16 - 22 adults and six juveniles, including a newborn baby, it is believed that the Poulnabrone Dolmen dates back to the Neolithic period, probably between 4200 BC to 2900 BC, The remarkable image of the sun setting through the Dolmen is one of those most commonly associated with the area, The Burren itself covers approximately 250 square kilometres and is an amazing landscape to explore as it is rich with historical and archaeological sites,

Traditional cottages

These are some restored traditional Irish thatched cottages, These were originaly designed as working cottages and are very simple, Their inhabitants earned a living from the surrounding lands or sea. In their most basic form the traditional Irish cottages were a humble single-roomed dwelling that sometimes also housed the owners’ animals.These cottages would be varied from region to region, with different styles within these regions depending on the availability of local materials,

Ireland is the one place on this planet I so badly want to go, the people sound amazing, your photo's show the beauty and you have described it in a way I feel like I just went.
