Finding A Lamp That Matches The Room

First you have to carefully analyze your room and identify the style. There is no such thing as the correct lamp. You must choose the one you like it (you can pick a glass table lamp for example). Remember the looks must be synchronized with the use.

If you choose a lamp in accordance with the rest of the room it’s clear that you are consistent in your style. On the other hand a mix style can provide particularity to a room. For example there’s a big chance that a modern crystal table lamp will look great on a classic desk.
You should know very clearly on what you’ll be using the lamp. There are different lamps for various purposes

Lamps That Always Look Good

You should know that the best reading light should be of at least 150 watts and that it’s recommended that you should have in your house a light source every 10 feet. When choosing a lamp you must take care that the package includes a lampshade as well because this will worm up the light in the room.

Also you have to consider the color, size, and visual function of the table lamp. Is very important that the lamp looks good when is turned on but also when it’s turned off. Some people love a ceramic table lamp, while others will prefer something made of crystal

Size Matters

Small lamps are more suitable for smaller tables while large lamps need generous areas to be placed on. A lamp must not become the most important object in a room but the contrary; it must highlight all objects in it. The colored material that covers the lamp should be in accordance with walls and furniture. If you want to position the lamp between the sofa and an armchair then you better choose a transparent one so that it won’t be a wall in conversation. In a normal room a lamp must not be higher than 34 inches. Also, people sitting down shouldn’t be able to see the hardware.

Safety & Stability

When you buy a lamp you need to make sure that its diameter doesn’t exceed the diameter of the table in the room. Last but not least, you must stabilize the lamp very well so that it won’t drop on one of your guests.
