How to Make Bebo Skinz
79So you want to make Bebo Skinz? First, you have to have a bebo account. Now your ready to get the creative juices flowing and begin to create your first bebo skin. There are rules and tricks that will really get you on the right track. This posts and the posts to follow will cover everything you need to know to get you on your way to making skins for bebo.
To get started you are going to need some software, I know of two that are popular "Paint" and "Photoshop". In this article we are using Photoshop, because it is the best and Paint is crap. The newest version of Adobe Photoshop is CS3, but if you can get your hands on an older version, that is fine.
The first thing you need to know about making bebo skinz is there are 7 modules. Here is a link from Bebo that describes these 7 in detail. It is also important to make note of their files sizes which we will touch on later. The next thing to do is go into photoshop and set up your 7 modules in the sizes below at 72 dpi:
1. Navigation Background - 760x40 pixels
2. Main Background - 760x375 pixels
3. Main Footer - 11x15 pixels
4. Main Icon - 20x20 pixels
5. Module Header - 375x44 pixels
6. Module Background - 375x50 pixels
7. Module Line - 32x3 pixels
It is very important to note the file size requirements of these modules! In my following post we will go on to the next steps to becoming a PRO at making bebo skinz.

How to Make Bebo Skinz Part 2
Naming your Bebo Skinz correctly is very important, actually it crucial. If you name them incorrectly you CAN'T even upload them to Bebo. Please see the chart below taken from this page on Bebo.com for exact names and file sizes.
So you've now gone to Photoshop to make a new Bebo Skin and:
1.Click "File"
2.Click "New"
3. Do this with all 7 modules sizing them and naming them as below sizes in the chart.
Now comes a secret. As you experiment with Skins for Bebo you will get the feel of what you can do to trick out the different modules. The MOST IMPORTANT module starting out to master is the "Main Background" Module. It is a sweet Bebo Skins technique to actually fade the bottom of the graphic on this module to a solid color. Then the whole module blends into the other section of the page. For examples of Bebo Skinz like this check the link :)
REMEMBER you CAN control the height of this module depending on the graphic in the admin section of bebo in the "Padding" section. Note: Most of our padding is between 275-320 pixels. In the following post - even more tricks!

okkies, so i have followed the same instructions everywhere and created all my 7 files. They are all under the size limit and are the correct image size... they are also saved as JPEG files, but bebo keeps telling me that they need to be jpeg... even though they already are! help?!

what fucking shit, how do you get the sizes mentioned using Photoshop. Navigation BG defaults at 89k and how the fuck to set up modules? You leave shit out dumbfucks.
u go thru this too fast n dnt give detailed explanations wat to click on for each tool n brush. apparently ur an expert, but wat abt us beginnerz. i can make a simple skin using Paint but i wna do skinz usin paint but i've yet to find a tutorial i can actually follow cuz every1 either rushes thru the tutorial or doesn't give explanations to us newbies who r not much familiar with the use of different tools n brushes or how to use 'em. u mk it luk so e-z but it's not if u dnt kno the ins n outs of these programs. it's quite complicated. wud luv 2 c some1 mk a tutorial that's reali e-z 2 follow.

TBH i find the gimp (free to download at www.gimp.org) is the best for making skins. It's easy to use and you can do some awesome effects. Totally out does paint shop pro.
