I am a 57 year old grandma who got an idea about2-3 years ago that there was money to be made on the internet. Previously to this I really had not had very much to do with the internet in any way at all. A whole new world opened up to me. I had not even owned a computer and had not heard of Google. No loud laughing please. Any way here I was with access to a computer and access to the HUGE amount if information available at the the touch of my finger tips on some white plastic keys.

Well it wasn't long before I was hooked and could see the massive potential of making an income online. I was off. Researching how when and why!

It was not long before I had a flood of emails into my new partners email box with the offer of this marketing tool or that new tracking idea. I had them coming thick and fast from the likes of Mike Filsame and Perry Marshall and then on to Frank Kern.

I was on fire and more and more convinced that I was going to become an internet marketing genius and help anyone who became involved with me to become financially secure and live the life of their dreams as well.

If I tell you it was a struggle that would be a gross understatement. I was a mammoth task I had set myself. I had to not only learn how to really use a computer but I had to learn the language as well. Those who saw the same opportunity as I did know what I mean. There must be millions of us out there. Still struggling not to let go of our dream. Like me.

Well I have attempted a few projects in the past years from joining an online marketing company which has what I can see a great product and to date we have had no sales. We actually joined four of these. Our sponsor certainly made money and the company made money.

This has not deterred us onward we go. Notice I am saying us now as I managed to convince my partner this idea of making money online is wonderful and he is such an entreoperuial person he jumped on the wagon as well.

So then there was two of us excited and looking for the right opportunity.

What was the right opportunity.

It had to be a product that had value and it had to be presented by a company that had been around for a while, a few years preferably. The product had to resonate with us and we had to like the websites which had to be straight forward and not too in your face.

As I have said we tried four such products. We built our websites and we put our adwords ads out and we waited. For sure we got the visitors and we made the phone calls we ere trainable and coachable and we made no money, just spent it. We were told to hang in there we would hit the jackpot. Well we did then we stopped.

We attended a few more workshops and watched presentations of a couple og new and innovative ideas and settled on one.

The what happened?

We were coachable and trainable and we built our sites and we put the ads out there and we waited. OK this time we made a little money but spent more in the process. We were good students and we hung in there. Hanging in there has cost us a small fortune, so we have now come to the end of the line.

To say I have not progressed during the past few years would not be true I now understand what SEO search engine optimizing is and how to go about optimizing your sites. I understand what a URL is. I can navigate around Wordpress pretty well and I have discovered I can write more than ten words and people will read them.

Even if we never make any money it has been a journey of discovering that if you do put your head down and give it a go you will learn new and exciting things.
