According to Penthouse magazine, more women complain about infrequent sex than men do. Forty percent of women have said they had an orgasm while dreaming about sex. The number for men is 80%. The frequency, in which women have orgasms during their sleep, actually increases as she ages during her childbearing years. I know the older I get, the more frequently they appear to me.

I can see now, that it is entirely possible that our bodies have built-in neurological pathways, telling us when or if our time for breeding is coming to an end. Therefore, instead of questioning as to why, maybe we should be looking at the actual chemical make-up of bodies and how they have or have not evolved over time.

Whether we like it or not, we are animals. As with all animals, there is a basic survival instinct built inside telling us when certain needs are needing to be addressed. Take a female deer for instance, she instinctively knows when danger is present around her and her baby. She will lead that baby deer to tall grass, and signal to the baby to stay down and not follow her. Hopefully leading the intruders to a different area other than the one her child is laying down in. It is her basic instinct of survival. Well, what if wet-dreams are the bodies way of telling an aging woman, of childbearing age, that the time to call it quits is drawing itself near? When you think of it that way, I do think it is entirely possible that our bodies have some sort of built in mechanism telling us to do this or that.

However, what if the woman is way passed childbearing years?What is the reality of a wetdreams purpose then?

As for myself, I'm way passed the point of having children, but I have more wet-dreams than I ever did before. These beddy bye organisms of mind are full blown organisms, with as much sensational feelings, as if I was actually having sex at that moment in bed. I guess in essence, I am still having sex, or how else could I be brought to the brink of organismic pleasure? Therefore, I find myself asking why now? Why now, when my husband is too old and doesn't want to mate or breed? Is there something to be said for having a younger lover, and gaining the new-found title of cougar at my age? I think there definitantly is.

I think that no matter what, our bodies are so in-tuned with our subconsciousness that it actually supplies us signals, that date back to the caveman times. Remember, they operated solely on the premises of survival of the fittest. Which goes without saying as to the cause and nature as to why; men are at their sexual peak in their early twenties, and why women are at their sexual peak somewhere between thirty seven and forty five.

Which brings up another point of mine, I think the whole idea of being with only one person is impossible. Think about it for a second or two, even Creationist would have to see that Adam would have had to be with more than one woman, to have procreated an entire race of people. Eve too, for that matter would have had to been with more than one man.

Another point to address then is could it have been because men- were not expected to live past thirties, and women weren't considered old back then until their late forties or fifties? On an average, and up to the advancements of modern medicine women always out lived men by twenty years. Which when you look at it that way, is right on target with the thought process of this hub.

It is a well proved fact ladies and gentlemen, that men were designed to be with multiple women. Their urges to breed, and colonize their seed is far greater than ours (ladies) to survive. However, let us channel these thoughts and consider the woman's side. I fully believe, that women like men have a built in instinct that tells them to find a man to mate with. If we, ladies and gentlemen were built to be with only one person through out our married life span, then explain to me why is it that we have wet dreams like this in the first place. Furthermore, it is then my collective thought that maybe the caveman wasn't as backwards and barbaric as we are today.  Now, I am not advocating that women need to start cheating on their husbands, nor husbands start cheating on their wives, and if your are homosexual of course the basic notion still applies when reading this.  Therefore, what I am advocating is for you to become more personally aware of why you might be experiencing something, sexually unusual inside yourself.  It seems to me that when it comes to sexual relationships, many people forget to take the most basic factors of the human anatomy into count.
