Beef nachos can be made in a number of different ways and are popular as a quick snack. They go very well with a cold drink. They can be made with a variety of things. This makes a nice snack for the entire family. It being easy to prepare is very popular among nacho lovers.
You will need ground beef, re-fried beans, tomato sauce, bell green pepper, chopped onions, taco seasoning and grated cheese. Also buy a bag of tortilla chips. You will have to heat the oven to 350 degrees. Let as much beef as you want cook in a large saucepan. Add 16 ounces of re-fried beans, 8 ounces of tomato sauce, half a cup of chopped bell green pepper, half a cup of chopped onions and the taco seasoning into the pot. Let it simmer for about fifteen minutes.

Pour the contents of the pot over the chips spread in a casserole. A cup of grated cheddar cheese should then be spread over it. This should be kept in the oven till the cheese gets melted. This will be enough to serve four people.
Another method involves using jalapenos over the rest of the ingredients. Here the beans are heated separately and placed on the chip and then a spoonful of the contents of the pot is placed in the chip, topped by cheese, onion as well as sliced jalapeno. This is a little more time consuming than the previous one.
Beef nachos can also be made by using a lot more ingredients if they are available in your kitchen. In addition to the ingredients in the first recipe, you will need half a jar of salsa, enchilada seasoning, chopped lettuce, tomatoes, black olives, green onions, sour cream and guacamole. Some of the recipes also include corn with the rest of the ingredients.
For this method, you should first brown the beef and drain the fat. You can then add the beans, seasoning and the salsa to the pot along with the beef. Cook this mixture for sometime. After putting this onto the chips in a casserole, top it with cheese. Place the casserole in an oven, heated to 400 degrees. Nachos are popular among the young and adults alike and will make an excellent summer snack. You can also experiment with half cups of two different kinds of grated cheese. You can also have repeat layers.
This will take a maximum of half an hour and is very filling. It is best served hot as the cheese will harden when it cools down. It is high calorific food and hence can be considered to replace a meal. As they are very easy to cook, they can be easily made at home. They can also be found at almost all fast food joints.
