Powerhouse of Flavour for a Perfect Fit
This honey garlic sauce adds a powerhouse of flavour that is a perfect fit for the beef.
1 tbsp (15 mL) sesame oil 2 beef grilling striploin steaks, thinly sliced (about 1 lb/500 g) 1 small red onion, thinly sliced 2 carrots,thinly sliced 2 cups (500 mL) broccoli florets 1can (398 mL) miniature corn cobs, drained 2 cloves garlic, minced 2tsp (10 mL) minced fresh ginger 2pkgs ( 85 g each) instant 1 jar (341 mL) Honey Garlic Sauce 2 tbsp (10 mL) sesame seeds
1. IN nonstick skillet, heat sesame oil over medium high heat and brown beef in batches; remove to plate. Add onion, carrots, broccoli, corn, garlic and ginger; cook, stirring for 5 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, discard flavour packet from soup noodles and place noodles in bowl. Cover with boiling water. Let stand for 3 minutes
3. Add sauce to skillet and bring to a boil. Whisk cornstarch into 2 tbsp (25 mL) of water. Add beef and cornstarch mixture into skillet, stirring for 3 minutes or until veggies are tender crisp and sauce is slightly thickened. Serve over noodles and sprinkle with sesame seeds.
