Institution of Marriage was evolved by men to establish their paternity. Presently it serves the purpose of fixing legal liability on the parents and spouses to support and maintain the children/spouse. It also entitles the spouse and children to the estate of the deceased. Further it reduces multiple partners in physical relationship and thereby spread of standard. 

 Marriage is nice and pretty and romantic and what not, but that`s not what should tie 2 people together. You can live with somebody all your life perfectly happy without being married. that`s basically just a custom. this doesn`t mean that it`s bad, i mean you should definetely marry a person if u feel like it`s right, but it`s all wrong if it`s just that piece of paper that ties you 2 the person....Marriage is not the bond, it`s a material proof of it for those from whom it counts to have this kind of a proof.... 

• If you love someone and they feel they want to keep themselves you would keep their wishes wouldn't you? To be honest if you love someone it isn't just about sex. You have to love them enough before having sex with them it just depends on how you feel. I feel leaving yourself for that one person is how it is meant to be and I couldn't see myself being as open to anyone else than my partner.  
• One problem with waiting till marriage is what if you and your spouse are not sexually compatible? While sex is not the most important thing in a relationship, it is healthy to have a good sex life and if your not compatible it could make for a lousy marriage.  
• Sex before marriage was excellent! Getting married has only made it even better. Don't let the issue of marriage stand in the way of you having a great sex life with someone whether before, during, or after marriage.  
• Before, definitely. I also think you should live together first. Do you know how many divorces could be avoided? Better to realize sex together, or living together doesn't work before marriage, than after.  
• People hide sex before marriage because older people tend to be more religious. Your body is made to want to have sex. Enjoy. Let those that don't have sex worry about their therapist bills later in life. With that said, some protection would be a good thing. Don't have a baby if you're not ready for it.

• Sexual intercourse can be enjoyable but its main purpose is procreation. Marriage is usually the best situation in which to bring children into the world. Therefore, to me, it seems that it would be better to wait until after marriage. Also, there is a risk of catching sexually transmitted diseases when everyone is at it like rabbits!  
• After marriage you should give the gift of passion and love to the person who you are commited to spend the rest of your life with.  
• If you are very religious or have made a pact that you will not have sex, then sex before marriage is wrong. If you are in a relationship with someone before marriage and your parents and siblings are ok with it then of course they would know.  
• Studies have shown that those who wait have more happiness and satisfaction in the sexual and intimate side of the marriage.
