Today we will start off with a simple and fun card trick that you can perform when you are with a group of friends. This card trick is commonly known as forcing the card and later on I will be showing you a twist on this very same trick.

To begin make sure that you have a table or surface  that you can lay down cards on and an audience that is watching you. Pick anyone from the group, doesn't matter who it is, and ask them to shuffle the deck very well so there is no chance that you are cheating. When they are done ask for the pack of cards back and sneak a peak at the card on the very bottom of the deck, do this carefully and don't let anyone see you.

Hold the pack in your left hand and use your forefinger to slide the bottom card back (the one you looked at) about a centimeter from the front edge of the pack. Begin dealing from the bottom of the deck and put the cards FACE UP on the table or surface you have available.

Be sure to hold on to the bottom card you slid back and tell the audience to shout stop whenever they want you to stop and that the very next card that you deal will be their special or secret card. This secret card will be the one that you will have to find in the deck after they have shuffled it again.

When someone yells stop, this is when you finally deal the bottom card that you have been holding on to and slam it FACE DOWN on the table. Turn around and tell your friends to put the card back in the deck and shuffle it. When they are done just simply look through the deck and pick out the card since you already know which one it is.

Here is a little twist or variation on the very same trick. Instead of having them put the card back into the deck and have you look for it later on just wait for them to yell out stop and then slam the card FACE DOWN,  pause for a moment (to add a little effect) and look at all of them and then name the card and have one of them turn it over.
