Beginning Of Ferrari

One of the most respected and successful names in Formula One racing is the Italian car manufacturer, Ferrari based out of Maranello, Italy. Manufacturing race cars and sponsoring drivers since its inception in 1928.

Founded by Enzo Ferrari and originally named Scuderia Ferrari, the company manufactured race cars before venturing in the production of street-ready vehicles in 1947. In 1969 after struggling with years of financial issues, Enzo Ferrari made the decision to sell the sports car division to the Fiat Group.

Until his death in 1988 at the age of ninety, Enzo Ferrari however retained control over the racing division. He launched the last new Ferrari, in the Ferrari F40 earlier that year, and it would prove to be one of the most famous supercars ever produced.

Along with its reputation for noteworthy vehicles, Ferrari also has merchandising lines that license products such as electronics, perfume, pencils & pens, clothing, high-tech bikes, cell phones, watches, laptop computers and even eyewear.
