Live Life To The Fullest
50In an increasingly busy world, we find that we have less and less time to do the
things that we really want while we seem to spend more time working and trying
to find financial security. However, if someone were to ask you today what your
priorities in life were, what would you say? It would probably be to spend more
time with your family, have better health and to contribute meaningfully to
society. Well, then what is preventing you from taking the steps necessary to do
all this? Why do you feel powerless to change the direction in which your life
is headed? Start working on your priorities and you will feel as through you
have the power to change the world. Empower yourself by living your life to the
fullest.
* Your physical health will have a great influence on how you
live life. You have to take care of it through proper nutrition and regular
exercise.
* Jack Welch, the past CEO of GE, once said," When I stop learning
something new and start talking about the past versus the future, I will go."
This is something that we should all keep in mind. Never stop learning or
educating yourself. The more knowledge you possess, the better prepared you are
and more the control you can exert over your life.
* Do not let your family
and your loved ones become a casualty of your busy work schedule. Make them a
priority - just as physical exercise is important for your body, the company of
close friends and family members is important for emotional stability. There can
be no real empowerment if there is no emotional stability.
* If you have had
to give up something you once passionately believed in and had fought for, you
might want to consider taking up those causes once again. Perhaps it was the
environment or maybe it was fair trade practices. It does not have to be very
big cause; perhaps you would like to join the local city council and see what
you can do for the city. You have to spend some time in doing something else
other than work that gives you pleasure and a great deal of satisfaction.
*
Live within your means. You have to learn to live within your means. Though you
may be able to afford all the luxuries of life and may think that this impresses
people, you have to realize that true wealth is not measured in terms of
material objects. Learn to understand the true value of money and always manage
your money so that you live within your means at all times.
* Do not hesitate
to try something new. After all what is life if not a series of experiences. If
you have always been very careful in life and have never taken unnecessary
risks, perhaps you should take a few to just experience the thrill of something
new. You do not have to do something as drastic as go bungee jumping but perhaps
you could give your usual route home a miss and just enjoy a nice ride in the
countryside.
