Blogging Benefits your Hubpages

Do you write a blog?

If you write articles on the Internet on any website then there are many advantages to be gained by writing a blog on the Internet also, not only does it bring extra visitors to your articles but Blogging can be a way to help you to earn alot more money from your articles.

Backlinks

When you write a blog about any of your written articles you should add a link in the blog to your article, Backlinks are important to Google recognition and they do help to improve your ranking on Google and some other search engines. you should add your URL Tracker to the link (BELOW)

URL Trackers

By adding your Url Tracker to links in your blog you get the chance of visitors signing up to the site once that they have paid a visit to your article, if they do sign up using your tracker then you stand to earn 10% of all of that persons earnings made from their hubs, the more people who sign up using your trackers the more your earning powers increase.

Advertising

Some Blogging sites such as Blogger.com which is owned by Google allow you to earn money from advertising using Google Adsense. another way to help boost your earnings.

Making Extra Money from Your Blog

Using your Blog to advertise your articles including your trackers and backlinks can be a science in itself, copying and pasting a lot of your article content into your blog can lead both your article and your blog to be penalised by the search engines for being duplicate content and if you write your articles on hubpages this will lead to a rapid decrease in Hubscore which will affect the amount of visitors that you recieve.

As a Hubpages Author of over 3 years I have 3 blogs which I use to experiment this one on Wordpress this one on Blogger and I have a second Blogger blog which is a work in progress at the moment.

My Wordpress blog is about my personal experiences of Hubpages and I really need to update it soon, I have no Advertising on My Wordpress blog because I want readers to click on my Url Tracker links rather than being taken to a different page.

This seems to work because it has helped me get 85 signups to Hubpages from my referral Trackers who have between them published over 300 Hubpages.

My Blogger Blog is all about the backlinks, I use this one as a place holder for all of my hubs, a short description followed by a link to the article, I don't use my URL trackers on this one but that could change . This Blog has Google Ads on it and although clicks are few and far between I do earn a little extra money from it.

My work in process Blog will be a tribute to all of my friends and fellow Hub Authors which I will be working on from this weekend This blog will have referral trackers and advertising from Google Adsense, in this Blog I will be keeping a weekly diary of what I consider to be the best hubs that I have read each week and a couple af little extras that I am keeping under my hat for the moment.

With it I hope to benefit from Trackers and Advertising.

Hi Jimmy. Interesting hub. I'm thinking about starting a blog about my writing, to create backlinks and maybe make a bit more money through google. Which would you reccomend to a newbie - wordpress or blogger?

I've never thought about creating a blog just for the purpose of writing about what I do here at hubpages, although I might do in the future. I do however create backlinks to related hubpages and I do this often on my blogs that relate to each and every hubpage I do.

A journal entry blog would be good, to write about all of my experiences with using hubpages and then add links and other useful information...yet another blog to fill my day!!

Answered my own question again, you just go to 'my account' and click on 'URL Trackers', should have realised that really. So many things to remember.

Absolutely fantastic information. A blog is a enver ending ever changing organism and we need to treat it like one. The more attention you pay to it the better the results. Great advice and tips. Lots of insight and wisdom here,

Thanks Gary Rust - Pura Vida!

Thanks for another great article Jimmy. Very timely for me again, as I'm half way through writing an article with backlinks to my hub pages, and I forgot about the tracker linking.

Thanks for the info. I use blogger some but it doesn't bring much money in. Most money comes from hubpages. I have a lot yet to learn but am glad to have found this hub. I have s'more ideas now on how to connect the hubs and blogs, links, etc

Good hub Jimmy. I agree with you - I actually have several wordpress blogs and personal bolgs - all with different niches to allow me to add backlinks from a "niche specific" blog.

Hey Jimmy, great hub. And great Wordpress blog, too. That's how I found you.

I was wondering how much money have you made from your signup referrals?

I'm trying to focus on that on an Amazon/Hubpages blog I have.

We don't have a blog now. We do have a website that we update every week, and sometimes we make links between our Hubs and the website because we have deliberately written articles that are meant to compliment each other.

However, we are currently looking for a new strategy to increase viewers, so this Hub is very interesting. We will be looking at Blogger.com

Thanks for giving us another idea that may prove useful.

You certainly are an example to us all. One thing I have found on HubPages is that the same faces seem to be popping up all the time. I wonder if there is a superstars or hubpages hub?

Hi new fan here. Your Wordpress blog is awesome. I love the banner at the top. I have one on wordpress too

http:4custody.blog.com I would love your feedback and also see I really need to join blogger. I have been thinking about it and you made me realize I have too. As you said Wordpress only allows so much. Personal question here: do you use their free version? I would love to add pictures and stuff but to me it is complicated. I am reading through your hubs and Congrats again on your new milestone. I can only dream of 1000 visitors now!
