Like all software it is never perfect when it is first launched and Microsoft relies on all of us using it in our different ways to give them all the glitches that they then fix with patches etc...

Vista is the next generation after XP and its looks make you think of Apple so I wonder if there is a closing of that gap? It has some good features and I think it works OK and will be even better in about 12 months time.

I have posted this comment elsewhere but will repeat it here - I recently got a new laptop with Vista on it and was very upset that it seemed to be running so poorly until I realised that it was Norton anti-virus that was built in that was causing the problem - since I removed Norton (with some difficulty) it has been great.
