Ask Susan Peters - Are Beneful Prepared Meal Healthy Dog Foods?

The use of Corn, Wheat, and Soy are causing such awful conditions in pets including:

  • Dry and itchy skin
  • Fever
  • Ear aches
  • Ear infections
  • Hot Spots on the skin
  • Bad breath
  • Dental disease
  • Hair loss
  • Sore feet
  • Abnormal nail growth
  • Bloat
  • Weight gain
  • Tumors
  • Moles and warts
  • Seizures
  • Blindness
  • Deafness
  • Heart conditions
  • Kidney conditions
  • Liver conditions
  • Early pet death

Gluten is a super concentrated mix. So the corn is this batch is actually at least 5 times the amount listed.

Natural Flavor. I always like the way pet food companies hide the use of manure in the ingredients. Natural flavor is made from the manure of the animal the pet food company wants the pet food to taste like.

Artificial flavor and color cause cancer.

Salt is not needed to be added to our pet's diets.

Sodium selenite is mainly used in the manufacture of colorless glass - From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.

Meat by-products. Meat can be any recycled animal, including cat or dog, but not one in particular. By-products are floor sweepings collected from a rendering plant. Anything that hits the floor and is not fit for human consumption is by-product. By-products can't have "added" feathers or hair but the ones included in the mess are just fine.

Anytime I see a Class Action filed against a company and the products the company produces I would not advise feeding their products to your pets. The pet owners have filed a Class Action against the company for killing their pets.

This is a biased garbage report. While this is not the perfect food it is useful fro dogs with depressed appetites. my dog has gone through two 25 week rounds of chemotherapy for lymphoma. During this period they don't want to eat.

Thank god for Beneful Prepared meals. It was the only thing that kept him alive.

Lance,

I am happy to hear your dog has survived. I'm sorry to report that a number of studies reflect a diet such as Beneful are the cause of cancer (usually brain) in both humans and animals. I hope all continues to be good for your dog.

It is a garbage report, literally.

(I just read the ingredients again to be sure!)
