Antara Biswas is a 23 years old bengali girl, born and brought up at Kolkata.  Also know as Monalisa, this girl from Gariahat studied in Julien Day School and did her BA in sanskrit from Ashutosh College. Then she started her carrier as a small-time TV actress and model. She changed her name from Antara to Monalisa on persuance of his uncle, who thought that this new ame would be luckiy for him to settle down in Bollywood.

Monalisa first made her debut in Bengla films where she worked with actors like Prosenjit and Tapas Paul.She had appeared in an Oriya video album which got her some films there.She then turned to south Indian films before coming to notice in Bollywood through her cleavage-flaunting role in the skin flick Tauba Tauba .

She appeared in couple of Hindi films in Bollywood, such as Blackmail starring Ajay Devgan and Sunil Shetty, and Tauba Tauba opposite Laxmikant Berde.Earlier in 1999, she also acted in an Egyptian Movie in Arabic language, called Hamam fi Amsterdam.
