There are a number of 50 inch TV stands out there, but not all of them are great. After doing a ton of research, I'd like to tell you about the best 50" TV stand in today's market. In fact, I'll show you the top two 50 inch TV stands based on my experiences.

The Techcraft Sorrento Series BES48B is a trendy, sophisticated TV stand that will fit your 50" TV easily. Here are the specs:

TV weight capacity: 260lbs; shelf weight capacity: 80lbs

Dimensions: 21.5" (height) x 50" (width) x 20.5" (depth)

At 88.4 pounds, this TV stand is sturdy enough to handle 50" TVs, whether they be LCD, Plasma, etc. It's easy to assemble and the wires are easy to access and manage (a big complaint for most 50" TV stands).

The next best 50" TV Stand is made by a company called Altra Furniture. Their philosophy is to create great home theater systems that are in style and I believe they did just that with their 50" TV stand model.

Here are the specs:

TV capacity: accommodates up to a 50" flat panel TV

Dimensions: 25" (height) x 47.8" (width) x 19.5" (depth)

At 92 pounds, this TV stand is even sturdier than the Techcraft Sorrento Series. It also has two drawers that serve as extra storage for DVDs, CDs and gaming accessories. It comes in a black ash finish.

Buying a TV stand for your 50" TV is important. TV stands are not something you want to go cheap on because you'll regret it in the long run. Believe me when I tell you it's important to get a solid TV stand, especially for TVs as large as fifty inches.
