Best Book: Real estate investing guide
64Truly a good question indeed! Well here is the answer from a man that has wasted a lot of money. I mean a whole lot of money on real estate investing books, guides, and seminars. As for which one is best let me leave you with this to ponder.
All of them say pretty much the same thing and all of them say pretty much say nothing. They all have catchy title's and good little write ups that appeal to your inner greedy self. But after that they don't really deliver on anything you can convert into money. I challenge you to find anyone that has made money in real estate that did it solely on any one book or program. I know, what about all those really cool testimonials all the Guru's seem to have. I am not arguing that a lot of people make money in real estate. In fact the majority of the money I have made (a lot) has been from my real estate investments. It was not the books that helped though.
So what is someone to do I just told you the Guru's pretty much all suck? Well here is the real pearl of wisdom. Go online and find a good internet course for a real estate license in your state. This will teach you the laws and the vocabulary (the most important part of any great undertaking is learning the language). After you get your license, learn the art of sales. You will most likely be terrible at it at first unless you are already a salesman and understand the art involved. Once you know a little bit about selling, start learning about business and the all important networking aspect of growing your business. Here is your gold mine for it is here you will find the one person that can help you become a rich real estate investor. That person, is the person in real life not fake book life or fake infomercial life that is actually doing what you want to do in real estate. Do what you have to in order to become his or her protégé. This is where you will find someone who has the valuable information you seek.
Trust me on this, no one that is making and loves making money in real estate can take enough time away from making deals to write a book on their super secret, that has made them so much money that they want to share it with you. Nope wanna be millionaire book writers say that stuff. Real investors are in the field getting the job done and until you get your butt in the field and start getting your hands on the job you will never learn what it takes.

Great point made there. I found you on twitter. Keep the golden nuggets coming.
I agree except that I believe "How I Turned $1000 into 5 Million in Real Estate in My Spare Time" by William Nickerson is the only book that can be touted as "THE book on real estate investing."
