Easy Chicken Pot Pie Recipe

Chicken Pot Pie is another one of my families favorite recipe. However, it can seem as if it were difficult to make. This is an easy chicken pot pie recipe that even kids will love. Trust me, I know. My very picky 12 year old brother and my 1 1/2 year old son absolutely love it.

Chicken Pot Pie Recipe Cooking Instructions

Start Cooking:

In a large saucepan, bring the onions and broth to a boil and then let simmer for about 15 minutes until the onions are soft. Remove from the heat and add in the rest of the ingredients for the filling. When mixed well, pour into a greased 2-qt (I use a 2 1/2-qt) baking dish.

For the topping, in a separate large bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, and salt. Then mix in a separate bowl the milk, eggs, and 1/2 cup to 3/4 cup cheese. Mix it into the flour mixture.

Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 40-45 minutes or until it is golden brown. Sprinkle with the remaining cheese and bake for 3 minutes longer or until the cheese has melted.

Enjoy!
