Angela! I had a couple of friends over for a late lunch today and made your chicken salad. It was a great success. I have enough left for supper, yum. Thanks for a great recipe.
regards Zsuzsy
Something I've found that's surprised me: chopped, de-seeded, de-membraned jalapenos go very well with chicken salad, especially one with green onions. The de-seeding and -membraning gets rid of the heat, and the jalapeno complements the other flavors.
Tasty hub! :P
Tastey Tastey I need it. Great delitious Hub
Thanks, monoharv and sukritha for the comments.
Zsuzsy Bee, I'm so glad that you liked my chicken salad recipe. Actually, I plan on making some today. I really like recipes like this for the holiday season. I can just make some chicken salad, put it in the refrigerator, and everyone can eat whenever they get hungry.
Joyeuse, thanks for the tip! I never would have thought to add jalapeno to chicken salad. Since I love jalapenos, I'll have to give this a try.
It sounds delicious... and just looking at the picture made me hungry... not good for the pre-Christmas diet! But then, good things deserve special treatment no?
Can I use any salad dressing? and forget about the cranberries? I think we do not have them over here.
This sounds like a fantastic recipe! I want to make it for my husband, but he won't eat the cranberries or any kind of raisin substitute. Any suggestions?
Sounds really great going to try it.
Sorry I missed your comments, Princessa Kat07 and debby28.
Princessa, you can use mayonnaise instead of salad dressing. And yes, you can skip the cranberries. Add raisins if you wish.
Kat07, if your husband doesn't like cranberries or raisins, just leave them out. Chopped apples would be good, but not necessary.
I tried you recipe on toasted panini bread.Awesome!
Man...This is mouth watering.
This sounds so good. Love chicken salad.
My friends and I are going on a trip this weekend and I'm going to premake this a night prior to our trip and serve once we are in our beach house, I will let you know how it goes...YUM!
What are some good ways to cook the chicken? Looks sooooo good
When this is done I leave out the cranberries and once the salad is placed on the bottom half of bread I add acouple of sugar snap peas right on the top of the salad and then put on top bread piece. Yummmmmmmmmmmmmmmy addition
