Best Diets For Losing Weight

Many people including myself are in search of that pill that makes us lose those extra pounds without any effort at all. There are hundreds of diets, pills and teas out there all for losing weight. You see them in commercials on television, on the internet, in your local drug or grocery store, even someone you know has heard of a great diet that worked miracles for someone. Personally, after trying countless diets and pills, I have not found that particular magic pill. One thing that I have learned from trying all of these diets and pills is the following: 1) the magic pill doesn’t exist 2) they all have something in common that most of us ignore or fail to see.

For example, after buying that book we saw in that midnight infomercial with the particular diet we thought would work, we don’t all read it from cover to cover. We skim through the pages and follow the basic idea of the diet. Whether it’s counting calories, points, or carbohydrates, we just follow the basic idea. There’s no need to read so many pages, it’s that easy. Or so you thought. When our clothes don’t seem to get any looser or we simply don't experience any weight loss, we decide it doesn’t work and look for something else.

Drastic Measures: A Bad Idea

Then there are the pills that you take every day. Some you take with or before every meal. The point is that you take these pills thinking that they are going to melt fat away, or that they are going to keep you from retaining all that extra fat and calories from everything you eat. So what do we do? We go ahead and have that hamburger and large french fries with a diet drink (after all we are on a diet). Sometime after you started taking the pills you see that the scale hasn’t gone down or that it has actually gone up. Feeling discouraged that the pills didn’t do what was advertised you go ahead and eat that ice cream sitting in the freezer. Your diet didn’t work so what harm is that ice cream going to do now?

Let’s not forget the diet teas we have tried. You drink the tea throughout the day just like any other drink. It sounds easy. Then you realize this is not working like you thought it would. When is all that fat going to melt away? When am I going to lose weight? We all have asked ourselves that question after trying and failing these diets.

There is that one common factor all of the above have and we failed to see it or ignore it. None of these products lied. These products are meant to be used as diet aides. They all say results will vary and must be followed with a sensible diet and exercise program. The main ingredient in all of these diets is not something you buy. It’s something you do. EXERCISE… It’s all in the fine print. Remember results will vary.
