Are you looking for some good quality pictures for your website or blog? I have made a list of the best stock photo sites. The sites I have selected are easy to use; some might require registration, which should only take a few minutes. All the sites on my list have a large database of high quality free photos. Some of the sites listed have terms of use rules. Be sure to read the rules carefully before using the pictures. One common restriction is Free for Personal Use only; this usually means it can be used on your personal blog or website, but not for a commercial site or selling the photo without permission. Another rule would require a link back to the website. And some sites don’t have any rules at all for coping pictures, just copy or download the picture, but don’t use pictures with company logos or trademarks.

flickr is one of the most popular photo sharing sites on the net. Be sure you only download non-copyright images. A good place to start your search is at flickr Creative Commons page. flickr offers six different types on Creative Commons Licenses, select the one that suitable for you. Click on (See More) under that license category; this will bring you the search for that category.

Free Pixels offers free stock photos for both personal and commercial use.

FreeFoto.com has one of the largest collections of free photographs for non-commercial use on the Internet.

Everystockphoto.com is a stock photo search engine. They index and search millions of freely licensed photos, from many sources, and present them in an integrated search. Free membership allows you to rate, tag or comment on photos.
