My Family's Favorite Grilled Chicken Recipe

When it comes to grilled chicken I like to keep things easy and quick so I like to use thinly sliced chicken cutlets because nothing cooks faster on the grill than a thin chicken breast cutlet.

Unfortunately, thin sliced chicken also tends to get dry just as quickly as it cooks that's why I always use a marinade of Wishbone Italian Dressing on my chicken cutlets before grilling them.

This has to be the easiest, quickest and most delicious grilled chicken recipe ever. There's no mixing, no measuring and no fussing at all.

What You'll Need for this Grilled Chicken Recipe

This sliced fresh chicken cutlets (figure on 2 per person)

Italian Dressing (I like Wishbone Italian but use your favorite)

1 One quart Storage Bag

A Hot Grill

Directions:

Simply place fresh chicken cutlets into a food storage bag.

Add enough Italian Dressing to cover all of your chicken.

Seal the bag and place it into your refrigerator for at least a half an hour before cooking.

After your chicken has marinated in the dressing for the recommended time, remove the chicken from the bag and place it onto a hot grill. This recipe works just as well on an indoor grill as it does on an outdoor grill and is perfect for either gas or charcoal grilling.

Remember that the thinner the chicken is sliced the faster it will cook. On average I usually grill the breasts no longer than 5 minutes per side. You'll need to keep an eye on these so prepare the rest of your meal while the chicken is marinating and that way once your chicken has cooked through you'll be ready to serve and enjoy this simple pleasure!

Tips for Grilling Chicken Indoors

I like to use the Lodge Pro Logic cast iron grill for grilling my chicken indoors. It fits perfectly over two of my gas cooktop burners.

To keep the chicken from sticking to the grill, I spray a small amount of Olive Oil cooking spray on it before it gets hot. You can also rub a bit of cooking oil onto your grill before heating it.

Always stay with your grill when grilling. This chicken cooks very fast. You'll know the chicken is done when it gets those nice golden brown stripes (from the grill) on each side!
