Best Hair Loss Shampoos
90Hair Loss Shampoos that Actually Work
As someone who has suffered a good deal of hair loss from telogen effluvium (TE), I have a great deal of experience with hair loss. To combat my hair loss, I’ve spend countless hours researching the best possible cures for hair loss. I’ve also spent thousands of dollars on failed attempts that did not work.
Several hair loss products work and some made my hair loss problem even worse! There are hair loss shampoos that are effective, but I’m going to state right now that none of them will stop your hair loss overnight. However, there are many products that do a good job controlling (even decreasing) the amount of hair shedding – or in some cases, can even encourage hair regrowth by reducing the inflammation present on the scalp.
Nissim hair loss
Now, let’s take a look at the best hair loss shampoos
Dandruff anti-inflammatory shampoos – By far the most popular of this type of hair loss shampoo is called nizoral; it really helps with any sort of scalp pain, but at the cost of drying up your scalp and hair. This dryness just makes your scalp feel worse in the end. I prefer using something like selsun blue which has a bit more conditioning added to it, though over time, it causes drying of the scalp. In general, I’ve found that any dandruff shampoo will promote drying of the scalp over the long term. If I use a dandruff shampoo, I only use it twice a week at most. They are effective, so it’s still worth using them in your hair loss fighting routine though.
Nisim—I really like this product because the shampoo quality is very high and after use my scalp feels really good. My hair always has good volume and bounce after using it. Unfortunately, many hair loss shampoos are quite heavy and require washing your hair with apple vinegar to eliminate the entire chemical residue --- but this is not the case with Nisim.
Hair Genesis Shampoo – Hair Genesis has a full range of hair products, however, their best product is the shampoo. It’s very high quality and it doesn’t coat your scalp or make any fine hair stick to your scalp (i.e. be limp). When I use it, I always look like I have more hair than I do.
Cre C Hair Loss Shampoo – This is a natural product that contains a good deal of the Chinese herb ginseng. It comes from Mexico, and the product is so natural that the shampoo is completely clear. You must shake it before use though since all the ingredients have a habit of sinking to the bottom. I love this product and it’s remarkably inexpensive, considering it’s a natural hair loss shampoo (most are more pricy over their synthetic counter parts).
Phytocyane – This is probably the best natural organic shampoo that I use. Phytocyane contains real grape seed extract, Chinese herb ginkgo biloba, and a good deal of vitamins. My hair practically glows after use. Now, of all the shampoos I review here, this is the most expensive, but I feel it’s worth the cost. If you can only go with one natural hair loss shampoo, it should be this one.
Nioxin – I don’t really like this shampoo, though you may find different results. It does help to stop hair shedding, but for some people, this isn’t the case. Now the official company spiel is that the shedding caused by the shampoo is because the product is clearing out all the hair that would have normally shed so new hair can grow, but I’m not comfortable losing the little bit of hair that I have anyways. Now, this hair loss shampoo is very popular so I’ve included it on this list. However, as stated, my personal results haven’t been that good. The shampoo does, however, do the best job of cleaning your scalp out of all the products here though. It’s worth a try, but I only use it once a month just to shake up my regimen a bit.
Jason Thin To Thick – I only use this once in a while because it increases the hair shagging. The advantage is that Jason Thin to Thick radically increases the volume of my hair – so it’s great to use before a big event (wedding, company dinner, grad, etc). I personally think that I look like I have twice the hair after using this product. So, it’s worth having for those special occasions, but not everyday use.
Dead Sea Hair Loss Shampoo – I first purchased this hair loss product because I was fascinated by the whole novelty of the product and the cheap hair loss shampoo price (most are more expensive than normal shampoos). This shampoo has become one of my favorite hair loss products now. Like the title implies, the shampoo contains dead sea minerals and nutrients – but ignoring that marketing gimmick, it actually does a fabulous job cleaning the hair and scalp and is very conditioning. You can actually use this product as a standalone with no need for a conditioner – sort of like a high quality version of Pert Plus for hair loss!
So there you have it, a review of the best hair loss shampoos on the market. I’ve personally tested each one, so I hope my advice helps your find the best hair loss shampoo for your hair.
To find the perfect hair loss shampoo, you first need to define exactly what you are searching for in a hair loss product. Are you looking for a natural herbal based shampoo that contains no synthetic ingredients, or are you looking for something that is scientifically proven (i.e. contains DHT) that will reduce and soothe your scalp’s inflammation.
Now, I’m going to give you a list of what I consider that absolute best hair loss shampoo products. Also note that there are other hair loss products such as hair loss vitamins, hair loss creams, hair loss pills, etc. This article only focuses on hair loss shampoo, which I’ve found just as effective as all the other hair loss treatments.
Now, as a rule of thumb, I myself don’t rely very much on substances that contain strong DHT blockers. I prefer hair loss products that penetrate my scalp, cleaning and nourishing it to help promote hair regrowth. For best results, I habitually rotate and alternate hair loss shampoos because I’ve found that when I don’t rotate the products, the products lose their effectiveness somewhat. This is why you should always keep changing your hair loss shampoo treatment routine for the best results. The human body has a remarkable ability to adapt to the same treatments over and over – so you want to avoid this.

That picture made me laugh. Results like that cannot be obtained through hair growth shampoos!
Nizoral is one of the big three products used as an effective hair loss treatment with Minoxidil and Finasteride.
You have given interesting study of different hair loss shampoo.I think proper nutrition and massaging are also useful in preventing hair loss.
