Best Live Music Videos

Well Funnebone, I do not usually watch live performances on Youtube because in my opinion artists do not perform as well live as they do in a studio and on a music video. But occasionally there are a few good live performances are worth listening to.

I had never heard of Alanis Morissette before you just mentioned her in your request. I watched her live performance of "Uninvited" and it was very powerful, except her funky dance moves, I don't know what she was doing. But she did an amazing job singing.

Here my favorite live music video (that I actually like).

Videos

Last time I posted a video on Hubpages it said i was n longer availible so here are the links to Youtube so you can watch the videos there if needed.

Pink

Def Lappard

Nickelback

3 Doors Down

Panic! At The Disco

Dear Mr. President

Dear Mr. President - Pink

Every time I watch this video it gives me chills. I think it is one of the most important songs ever. The idea of it is wonderful, she is singing about asking the president about how he makes the decisions he does. She asks him some serious questions, and it is a meaningful song.

Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard

Animals - Nickelback

Pour Some Sugar On Me - Def Leppard

This music video is really good. They sound awesome and have a lot of energy. I think it is funny too, because of all the old hairdos and clothes, gosh, things have changed a lot. The only thing I don't like about this music video is that the singer, Joe Elliot, takes like a minute in the beginning to talk to the audience. But other than that great live performance.

Animals - Nickelback

Nickelback is one of the best live performers. They keep the energy going and stay as in key as possible. Plus, this is my favorite song by them. They stop right before my favorite part and softly play while Chad Kroeger sings. It kind of keeps the audience pumped.

Kryptonite- 3 Doors Down

Kryptonite- 3 Doors Down

This video is excellent. I love that it has a reference to the actual music video (not live) with a super man dressed weird. The man actually flies over the audience! Witch is cool. This song is actually better live than it is not live. They have the live version on their c.d. 700 Miles. It is better because the audience sings with him and it is cool. In this video the audience doesn't sing with him but it is still a cool video.

I Write Sins Not Tragedies- Panic! At The Disco

I Write Sins Not Tragedies- Panic! At The Disco

Okay, I admit Panic! At The Disco is not the best live performers, singing wise. Music wise they are great, they mix it up a little bit from there c.d. They all have great energy and are into the song. Even Brendon Urie, lead singer, does this weird thing with his voice in the middle. You can't judge them from a live performance because seriously I know they sound... awful, but they sound better on the c.d.

That's All Folks!

Well those are my favorites. Obviously there are more, many artist do perform well live.

Two things: First I am glad you mentioned the 700 miles album by 3 doors down that is one of the best live albums ever. They would be great to see live. That video could have been cool but since it was shot in Germany the audience sucked just sitting down and then clapping when the old man from the video took his flight. I didn't realize Germans were so boring.

Second that live version of animals was very good Nickleback is freaking awesome. I keep waiting for someone to come out with a spoof of that song something to the effect of "we all wear geranimals" I am probably the only person on earth that still knows what geranimals are though.

Okay 3 things: check out James at war on youtube for 2 great spoofs, that dude is hilarious.

Thank you for the comment hoodala! haha. yeah the audience in Germany was kind of boring because he said sing with me and they did nothing. I have no idea what geranimals are but that would be cool if they made a spoof song out of Animals.

I have only seen the Rockstar - Nickelback spoof by James at War but i will go check out more!

I don't know of any videos, but I saw Matchbox 20 live and they sound just as good (even better) live. I saw Def Leppard in concert w/ Billy Squier (wow, that's an 80s flashback for you) and they were awesome. Pyromania was my favorite song back in the day.

Matchbox 20 is an awesome band. I also saw them live, and they were great but I was kind of far away. Haha I wish I saw Def Leppard in concert because this music video is awesome and I wish I was there!Tayler!

Just an FYI - if the YouTube videos don't load (if you get the error message "This video is no longer available") then it won't be available through those direct links you've provided, either. It just means the record companies that represent those artists have forced YouTube to remove those videos.

Great collection!

One of my favorite live performances is a cover of an Alanis song. The young lady's name is Mandi Perkins, she an up and coming singer/songwriter who just signed on with Sony. I stumbled across her work on YouTube while searching for live videos by Alanis. I was so impressed with her version of "Hands Clean" that I did a little research on her. She has a My Space music page with a lot of music and video clips. Her story is simply amazing, and she does a daily video blog that always entertaining.

Also check out the video for her song "Why", it's on YouTube as well. Hope you enjoy it.
