Easter will soon be upon us. For many parents, this means that it will be time to buy or make those wonderful Easter baskets. As any child will tell you, the best part of the basket is of course those tasty candy treats.

Yet, you can't just throw in any type of candy. You must have the right type. You must buy those favorite candy treats that you find mostly at Easter time.

First, get a bag of jelly beans. These comes in mini and regular sizes. You can also buy the usual bags that have an array of choices of colors and flavors. Yet, if your child particularly likes those delectable black delicious type jelly beans, you may want to buy a bag filled with just that type of bean because there are usually only a few of these in those mixed up bags.

Now think small egg type candy treats.

You could buy a delicious and creamy peanut buttery filled egg. Reese's makes a delicious one of these. They are a lot like those Reese's cups we all love so much, just a lot bigger, plus the chocolate coating is thicker.

Yet, you don't have to stop with those peanut buttered filled eggs. You can find chocolate eggs that are filled with coconut, marshmallow, strawberry cream, and even caramal to name a few.

Speaking of eggs, you could buy your child a tempting treat made my Cadbury. These treats are called cream eggs. They are chocolate eggs with a white inside cream filling and just a touch of yellow coloring mixed in the middle. Yes, the eggs are made to resemble real eggs.

Does your child like malted balls? You know they make these just for Easter in shapes of eggs. They are wrapped in more colorful paper and fits perfect in all baskets.

Is your child an M and M fan? Did you know that the makers of these come up with special colors just for Easter? These colors are pastel. But they do not take anything away from their great taste.

Would any Easter be complete without a box or two of Peeps candy? These marshmallow candy treats are covered in colorful sugar. They come in many lovable shapes such as bunnies and ducks. As well as fun colors such as pink, yellow, lavender and blue. Some people even likes to eat these cold from the refrigerator. One reason these are so popular is because they are not only tasty they are low in calories. In fact, one Peep only has a calorie count of 32 and 0 grams of fat!

When you think of candy can you not think of the beloved Hershey's candy company. They make some of the best chocolate in the world. You know they would not forget to come out with something special for Easter. Is your child a lover of Hershey kisses? You know those wonderful little bite sized chocolates filled with enormous taste? Well, Hershey's also came out with special kisses for Easter. They are wrapped in pretty pastel wrappings and taste just as milk chocolatey as they always do.

What about little individual wrapped bars of your child's favorite candy bars? These are always a hit and can help fill in any gaps you may have in the basket. You can buy every favorite candy bar from Three Musketeers, Milky Ways, Butterfingers, Kit Kats, etc.

Have you thought about adding a fun Pez dispenser to the mix? You can buy special ones of these that are filled with that wonderful candy in a shape of a bunny or a duck. No matter how old you are Pez candy is always a treat.

Finally, no Easter basket is complete without a chocolate bunny. You can buy these in many different styles and sizes.

You can buy the enoromous ones that will make a child's eyes pop or you can buy miniature versions. You can buy these in solid chocolate or you can buy them in hollow chocolate.

Of course, you can also buy bunnies that are filled with creams, marshmallows, peanut-butter, coconut or many other temptations.

Add a small toy or two, small colorful grass to the bottom of the basket and you have the makings of a basket any child or child at heart would love.
