I'd like to tell you something about me and my new website.I have a psp and an iPhone and I just love these things, as a PSP or iPhone owner you know what I mean! I decided to launch a website for you PSP/iPhone owners with news, updates, free downloads etc.

Well, after spending much time building the site and finding links to related websites and downloads, I published the site.After the Site was launched for about a week, I found out that some of the links I referred to where totally scams!That was not my intention at all, the last I wanted is to trick or scam my visitors in any way. I didn't do my research good enough.

I decided to immediately get the site offline and get rid of the "bad" links. A few of scam sites I linked to where :

PSPBlender.com - Allpspgames.com - Unlimitedpspgames.com - IpodBlender - Youripodmovies.com - Download-ipod-movies.com - Satellitetvtopc.com - Iphonecraz.com I- phone-magic.com

I have listed much more of these scam sites on my website.

So take a look before you decide to pay for downloads.

Don't be fooled by these websites high listings in google or yahoo or ads by google, a high ranking doesn't always mean it's the best or most reliable website!

Most of these sites offer you a one time fee of $47 or so for unlimited downloads..uh uh. Once you signed up, all you get is just links to torrents which you can download on p2p sites like torrents.to and such. Not only are these torrentsites free but also illegal!

So you're paying for breaking the law.

How I found out these sites where scams?

Because I was so shocked about all this, I decided to do better research. In my search I found a very cool plugin for internet explorer ( or firefox if you want) from mcafee. It's called McAfee SiteAdvisor.

After installing the plugin you will see a new icon in your browser which is green when you're on a good website and red on a bad one.

Another cool thing is, when you do a search in google or yahoo for example, an icon is visible after every link. Green is good and red is bad. Just click on the icon and you get a detailed report off why the site is good or bad. Isn't that cool, and it's free.
