Best Places to Propose in Las Vegas
69
Las Vegas, Sin City, Gamblers Paradise & Wedding Central. A perfect place to ask someone to marry you? What you didn't know about Las Vegas is that the city is wonderfully romantic. Perhaps it's the sound of people winning money or the mystique of the massively large casinos, whatever it is Las Vegas has romance.
I myself proposed to my wife in Vegas. While determining the perfect place to ask the question I brainstormed all the terrific locations that I've been. You see I've been to Vegas more times then I can count and have seen more then the usual tourist sees.
So here it is. My top 10 list of best places to propose in Las Vegas. That being said. If the girl (or guy) is right and you have that special bond it doesn't really matter where you propose as she'll be happy either way. But wouldn't it be cool to look back in 30-40 years and know that you proposed in one of these locations?
10. Stratosphere Tower
The Stratosphere Tower is the tallest building on the West side of the Mississippi river. It's a towering structure high above Las Vegas. The view of the strip is quite stunning. You could even pop the question while on one of the crazy rides that hang over the side of the tower.
9. Roller Coaster at New York New York
This is a bit of a cheesy idea. However, I've always though it'd be fun as you go under one of the big loops to say, "WILL YOU MARRY ME". Then she'd be all confused and wonder what you just said. You'll have to repeat it after the ride and she'll be shaking from the roller-coaster and the excitement.
8. At the poker table
I personally am NOT a huge fan of this idea. However, when polling people about where to propose a couple of people mentioned this idea. So, I guess you could deal a couple of rounds and while you're beating her on a hand (or losing). You could say something like, "well, it doesn't really matter because will you marry me?"
7. By the Waterfalls at the Wynn
The waterfalls at the Wynn have a wonderful light and sound display. The display happens approximately every thirty minutes. I recommend going to the cafe at the bottom of the escalator and getting a table nearest to the waterfall (calling ahead to make a reservation). The lighting and ambiance at this bar/cafe is very romantic and hard to beat.
6. Ghost Bar at the Rio / The MIX at Mandalay Bay
Both of these places off magnificent views of the strip without going to the Stratosphere. You can go to the MIX earlier in the night for a nice dinner and then pop the question there. After that you can dance the night away!

5. Helicopter Tour
Las Vegas offers 15 minute helicopter tours of the strip throughout the entire day. I recommend taking an evening tour. You can then pop the question over the microphone headset. Definitely talk to the pilot ahead of time and organize for you and her to be sitting either in the front together (the best view) or at the back alone. It may cost extra but it'll be definitely worth it.
4. Eiffel Tour at Paris
If your girlfriend loves Paris but you can't afford to take her there then this Eiffel tour is the second best option. It's one half the size of the original Eiffel tour with all the majic. However, this one gets an amazing view of the Bellagio Fountains. You can also go for dinner at the Eiffel Tower Restaurant and get a seat near the window and pop the question when the time is right.
3. Canals in Venetian and Palazzo
The Venetian hotel has a Canal running through the middle of the shopping plaza. You can rent a Gondola with your very own singing gondolier. I recommend calling to get a reservation to avoid waiting in line ups and to ensure you have your gondola to yourself. The romance is at an all time high when passing under bridges as you must kiss your loved one.
2. Bellagio Conservatory
The gardens at the Bellagio is an amazing display of flowers and art. The gardeners create stunning displays of current events and seasons. I recommend determining the current display prior to deciding on this location. Nighttime in the conservatory has a wonderful quiteness, and overall mood. If you're going in the spring the display is usually amazing.
1. Bellagio Fountains
The fountains at the Bellagio are something special. Classy, elegant, entertaining and romantic all come to mind when describing the fountains. I've attached a YouTube video of possibly the best fountain show. The video is good but does not do it justice. I recommend going to a nice dinner at one of the many great restaurants (Olives, Prime, Circo, etc..). I'd definitely make a reservation to sit near a window or on the balcony. After a romantic song pop the question. *Be warned that the fountains are weather dependant and if it's too windy that night then you might be out of luck*
That's the top 10. Did I miss a spot? Or did you propose at one of these places? If you're off to Vegas to propose good luck! Remember, "If the time is right it's not the location that matters it's the two of you."
