Pool liner is a liner which is used to cover the base and sides of a swimming pool. It is an essential part of swimming pool. It not only gives a smooth finish to the pool surface but also adds to its exquisiteness. A pool liner can be installed for both in ground pools and above ground pools. Pool liner is made up of either vinyl material or plastic material. A vinyl pool liner is of superior quality than the cheap plastic ones. The vinyl pool liner is made of durable and elastic material which is resistant to damages from direct sunlight, harmful chemicals and harsh weather. A pool liner can be installed for pools of any size or shape. They come in standard sizes as well as they can be custom made to fit your pool. Pool liners come in a variety of colors, patterns and thickness to choose from. This is how it is installed…..a pool liner of accurate size is carefully aligned to the pool walls and surface and then  it is sealed to the surface and walls using various methods. Then dry or wet vacuums are used to tightly bond the liner and finally the edges of liner are cut and sealed properly securing the liner in place. It must be installed by experts only as without its proper installation swimming pool will not function smoothly. Different pool liners are used for in- ground pools and above ground pools. The various types of pool liners available in the market are as follows.

Beaded pool liner - This pool liner is used in case of both in-ground pools and above ground pools. It is the best and cost effective alternative to tiles in case of in ground pools. In order to install this liner a track is built running below the top of the pool wall on all sides. The liner is then snapped into the track using beads or welts which stretches throughout the entire length of the liner. Pool liner in this method of installation is not the same size as the pool .It must be smaller than the pool size. Installing beaded pool liner is not a complex affair and so it is less time consuming process that fixing tiles. It is more expensive and popular then other types of pool liners. It is available in variety of patters, colors and thickness offering wide selection for your needs.

Overlapping pool liner – This pool liner is used in case of above ground pools only. It is less costly than the beaded pool liner. It is installed all the way up to the top edge of the pool and then tied securely using plastic coping strips. Good number of coping strips must be used to keep the liner in place. These strips come as ribbons or tubes. They are not durable and so must be replaced as soon as first sign of cracks appear. This pool liner is available in limited colors and designs.

Uni -bead pool liner – this pool liner is used in case of above ground pools only. It is an upgrade of overlapping pool liner .It can be converted to beaded pool liner too. It comes like a overlapping pool liner and is installed to the top of the pool and then secured with j-hooks which clips on the top .However if you do not wish to use it as overlapping liner then it can be easily converted to beaded liner by simply tearing the liner along the perforations on the liner provided for this job. Then it can be loaded into a bead receiver and used like a regular beaded liner. It comes in various sizes and patterns.

Expandable pool liner – expandable pool liner is made up of high quality vinyl fabric and is used in case of above ground pools that have deep end or deep middle pool base. It is very huge in size and can fit up to 72” deep swimming pool.
