This will keep your dog safe and protected, but it is foldable for a portable feel! Not too big of a space footprint, but it still looks great. It is steel though, so it is certainly a bit heavier than other varieties of dog crates.

If you definitely want a soft crate, this one from Amazon is a bit more pricey, but it looks great and fits anywhere. You don't have to worry about taking a soft dog crate indoors because it won't hurt any walls. This crate is stable, able to fold, and a great look. In my opinion, this type of crate is my favorite, and the only type I would use for my dogs. Of course, soft crates do not give much protection, certainly not as much as a metal dog crate. For this reason, if you are considering serious transportation (over long distances, or with a plane), you definitely want to look into a steel dog cage.
