You have seen them used in soap operas and have seen the advertisements come in the mail. But it isn't until you own one for yourself that you come to realize what an amazing investment the spa is. You do not have to have a ton of money in the bank or run a five star hotel to purchase a luxury spa. For just a few hundred dollars you could actually own your very own spa. It is time to settle down and relax with the hot water and the exciting bubbles and allow your worries from the day simply melt away.

What is a hot tub spa cover

Since spa owners do not want to spend valuable time, that could otherwise be spent in the spa, cleaning the entire thing, the spa cover is set into place. The spa cover is a handy device which is available in many styles and types which acts as a barrier between the spa water and all of the various things blowing through the wind that are trying to crash land in the spa water. Without the spa cover in place, spa owners would spend more time cleaning their spa than actually getting to enjoy it.

The different types and their pros/cons

The floating spa cover is a nice and easy way to protect the water from becoming dirty or contaminated. There are flaws in the design to consider though. If someone throws a ball and it hits the spa cover, the floating cover will fold under and then the spa water is no longer protected. For people who live in windy areas, this is probably not the best idea since you never know what is going to be blown around. The foam spa cover is a very popular choice but it can become very heavy to lift over time due to the saturation of water from the spa.

What works well for one spa owner may not work so well for another. In general, picking the best spa cover is generally about personal taste and what factors are more important than others for people. Get the spa cover that you feel most comfortable with and you should have no reason to be disappointed.

How much are they and where to buy them

For smaller spas you can find a cheap floating spa cover fairly easy. They range in price from forty dollars to two hundred dollars. The foam spa covers are a little higher in price but for many people they are the only option. You can find a nice variety of choices to pick from between two hundred dollars and four hundred dollars. You can buy these covers just about anywhere that sells spa and pool accessories. By doing a little comparison shopping you will be able to get the best price possible and save yourself a good bit of money.
