Best Student Loan | A Guide to Student Loan Funding
59Get the best student loans for college and you will make your life significantly easier. There are basically three types of loans you can pursue to pay for your college education. If you want more detailed information or are considering applying for one of these loans, you should look around online for online student loan lenders and read up on the terms offered. You should also read some online student loan guides which will give you some detailed information to go about applying for these loans.
Get Federal Stafford Loans
You must first fill out a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form before getting one of these loans. This is unique to applying for federal Stafford loan aid. The main benefit of federal Stafford student loans is that there is NO credit check. If you have poor credit, your best bet for getting student loans is the Stafford loan.
If you qualify for this type of loan, you may get the money directly from the school, or you may be given the loan directly from a lender or bank. You will need to read up online for more information about receiving Stafford Loan aid. The Stafford Loan is widely considered the best student loan available.
Get Signature Student Loans
To qualify for Signature Student Loan aid, you will need to be attending either a two or four year post secondary program on a half time basis at least. You will also have to meet certain credit check qualifications. If your credit is bad, you can get a co-signer to qualify for a Signature Student Loan.
Actually, by applying for a Signature Student loan with a cosigner, you have a significant advantage: you will get a much lower interest rate on the loan amount. Additionally, if you make 24 successive payments on the Signature Student loan, the cosigner is taken off the hook. As long as you make the payments, attaching a cosigner to your application will make this a VERY good choice for most students – right after the Federal student loan.
In general, if you have good credit, a Signature Student loan is a good idea because this type of loan will rewards you for that good credit with low interest rates. If you don’t have good credit, then getting a family member with good credit is also a good option. If you don’t have good credit or a cosigner, then this may not bee a good loan for you. Besides the Federal Student Loans, the signature loan is the best student loan for college you can get.
Get Tuition Answer Loans
The Tuition Answer Loan is a private student loan. This loan requires good credit on the part of the student or parents – which will disqualify many students from making application. You will also need a social security number to apply for this loan. You must also be a US citizen or permanent resident to qualify.
Get Other Private Loans
There are a whole range of other private student loans out there you can seek out. In general, you will need decent credit to qualify for private student loans, or if not, a cosigner. If you are looking to start a particular career, you should look at Career Training Loans. These are given on the basis of credit history and can be used to fund trade school classes or online classes. This is a great way to pay for a trade or to attend a online school program.
