It's always painful when a relationship ends and many times you want to know the best way to get your ex back as being apart on makes you want him more.

Well the good news is that it is possible to get your ex boyfriend back without resorting to stealth tactics and spying on them with eyeclops night vision goggles or hacking into their email.  But you are going to need a plan and so this article will go over some of the things that you can do to get back together.

This strategy is primarily for girls wanting to get their guy back, but I'm sure with a little tweaking it could work the other way around as well.

Your first step is to evaluate why the relationship ended in the first place. You'll need a different plan depending on the reasons for the break up.

For example, you've probably heard that getting your ex boyfriend jealous by dating someone else is a good way to go. What people fail to tell you though, is that this strategy only works if the reason you broke up is because you were too needy and clingy.

By the way, if this was the case for your relationship then your plan should be to back off for a while and definitely stop calling or texting him. Right now he needs his space, and you do too. Pretty soon he'll wonder why you aren't contacting him anymore and start to wonder what you are up to.

This is where you can act a little hard to get (hey, all's fair in love and war). You need to be friendly and fun, but also a little unavailable.

This requires a completely different plan than acting hard to get (for obvious reasons). If this was your situation then the best way to get your ex back is to sincerely apologize.

You also should try and do it in a unpredictable way. Just ringing up and saying sorry isn't enough, you should try and be a bit more creative. Perhaps you can send tickets to a hot sporting event that he likes with a lovely apology in it. You never know, he just might invite you along.

Men love a challenge (actually so do women, but since this article is about how to get an ex boyfriend back I'll continue).

Since men are attracted to fun, flirty, funny and strong women (and certainly not whiny, clinging, weak girls) then you've got to work on being that sort of person. I'm not suggesting that you change your personality (after all that is what he fell in love with in the first place) but you do need to become more independent and confident in yourself.
