Best Websites To Look For Internships
67Top Internships
Internships are out there especially in this enviroment. Some quick advice:
1. Go to the company website - Nothing is more disappointing than to have an applicant come in and no nothing about the company they are interviewing with.
2. Dress professional - Over dress rather than under dress. It is amazing the number of students who come in as if they are going to class. Dress to impress.
3. Practice doing mock interviews at your university - Schools ususally offer this service but very few students take advantage of the opportunity.
Here is a list of the top companies to check for an internship:
1. Google - http://www.google.com/support/jobs/bin/static.py?page=students.html&sid=intern
2. Microsoft - http://www.microsoft.com/college/intern/default.mspx
3. Southwest Airlines- http://www.southwest.com/careers/internships.html
4. Apple - http://www.apple.com/jobs/us/pro/intern/index.html
5. Genetech - http://www.gene.com/gene/careers/university/internships/index.html
6. Northwestern Mutual Financial Network - http://www.nminternship.com/
7. The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences - http://cdn.emmys.tv/foundation/education.php
8. Enterprise Rent-A-Car - http://www.erac.com/opportunities/internships.aspx
Another option is for both you and your parents to look through your checkbook. See who you spend money with on a monthly basis. Ask those businesses if they offer internships. Many times companies will want to help their customers.
Good Luck!!!
