Healthy Weight Loss
Everyone who has ever tried losing weight-just about all of us-and failed is constantly on the lookout for the best weight loss program available. Lucky for us, or perhaps not, new best weight loss programs become available practically weekly if not even daily. They include everything from fad crash diets which only allow you to eat a certain type of food, to diets that only allow you to eat certain groups of foods, to diets that only allow us to drink, and so on and so forth. Apart from offering amazingly fast weight loss, the other thing that all of these diets have in common is the fact that they make us suffer. And that they are not healthy. Wouldn't you like to find a weight loss program that was both healthy and didn't make you suffer? Wouldn't that just be the best weight loss program?
Yes it would, however unfortunately that type of diet does not exist. Because the undisputed fact remains that in order to lose weight safely and effectively one must change their eating habits and often times their whole lifestyle in order to reach a healthy weight and keep it off. But of course there are ways to achieve that goal safely and more effectively.
The main component of any weight loss program should be exercise, and regardless of what you hear elsewhere it is 30 minutes a day that should be spent engaging in some form of exercise that gets your heart rate up, be it cleaning, walking, jogging or simply shopping.
The other key to success when trying to lose weight and keep it off is changing your eating habits. But don't worry, far from being forced to just eat a certain group of food, which is very unhealthy by the way, you should just make sure you eat a well-balanced diet. This kind of diet is advocated by doctors across the globe and includes eating fruits and vegetables at least 5 times a day, staying away from high-sugar and high-fat foods, and actually eating enough carbohydrate rich foods, since our bodies need this food group for energy of the kind that cannot be gotten from protein alone.
Remember, it is only safe to lose about 2 to 3 pounds a week from any diet. Of course the initial weight loss could be greater than that, since it is mostly water weight that you are losing in the beginning. The two keys to successful weight loss are daily exercise and eating a balanced diet, which includes drinking enough water. If you stick to both of them you will surely not only lose weight but keep it off too. Good luck!
