There will be a page that pops up that says, “Best Buy Career Center”. You will need to click on that page. From there, your internet browser will take you directly to the Best Buy Careers home page. There is going to be a small box that says, “search by keyword”. All you will have to do from there is type in the name of the position that you are interested in.

You will automatically be directed to a different page which will be full of results for the position you want to apply for. You are going to notice that not only does the page display results for that position, but it displays national results for that position in all states.

To narrow the results down to your city and state, simply type in the name of your city and state into the “filter by city” search bar. The position that you are interested in should come up along with your city and state, if available there. Click on the link provided. Once you have clicked on the link, your browser will direct you to a page where it will be required for you to fill in your general contact information before proceeding.

Next, you will be directed to another page that will provide an option for you to “apply now”.
You will also be informed that the application is going to take approximately 10- 50 minutes, depending on the information you provide. Click on the link that says, “apply now”. You are going to be directed through about four pages that explain the general rules and conditions of filling out the application. Once you have thoroughly read through and understand those rules, you will then be able to proceed onto the first set of questions. Write down that information, because without it, you will not be able to contact the place needed for a background check.

After agreeing to a few simple questions concerning your background screening, you will be taken to the first official section of the Best Buy application. The first couple of questions consist of what you expect for a starting hourly wage, when you can start, days and times that you are available, if you have ever worked for Best Buy, languages in which you are fluent, how you were referred, your gender, your ethnic background, and other questions in reference to background as well as the willingness to be screened for illegal drug use.

Other questions include inquiries on if you are able to work with the general public, if you have ever been discharged from a job before because of attendance issues or job performance, and how many jobs you have had over the last couple of years. Once you have completed the first section of the application, you will be directed to the next section where you will be asked questions pertaining to whether or not you have ever been known by another name, convicted of a felony within the past 10 years, date of birth, past job experiences, and if you have any personal or professional references that you would like to add.

After completing the second section, you are going to be asked a series of questions pertaining to your personality and attitudes.

Once you are finished with the third set of questions, you will be taken to a voluntary set of questions. After completion of those questions, you will be finished with the application process.
