Best Time To Get Pregnant
Most people who are trying to get pregnant know that the best time to get pregnant is around when they are ovulating but there is more to it than that.
The harder part is knowing just when that ovulation takes place so that you don't miss the very narrow window of opportunity each month. It turns out that the egg only lives for about 12-24 hours, and many experts actually think it is probably closer to 12 than 24. The good news is that the sperm can live as long as 5 or 6 days under the right conditions inside a woman's body. The right conditions mean good quality cervical mucus.
Given that the sperm can live so long, in order to increase your odds of conceiving, the best time to get pregnant would be the several days leading up to ovulation. It is also a good idea to have intercourse on the day of ovulation and even the day after, as it's impossible to determine what time of day you are actually ovulating, even if you are using ovulation test kits. If you have intercourse for several days before you ovulate, then there will be an abundance of sperm "waiting" when the egg is finally released. There's a small chance of still conceiving if you have intercourse a day after ovulation in hopes that you ovulated late in the day and the sperm has a chance to "catch" the egg before it begins to break down. It is much better to have the sperm there beforehand.

- Are Fibroids Keeping You From Getting Pregnant?
I'm going to keep this short...MANY of my readers have written to me to tell me of their success in treating their fibroids WITHOUT SURGERY using this program:Stop FibroidsSo if you suffer from fibroids, and your doctor is recommending surgery to remove them so you can get pregnant, definitely check out this program first. It is MUCH easier and less expensive than surgery.
- Get Support From Other Women Trying to Get Pregnant
One of the very best things that I did when I was going through my struggle to get pregnant, was to find other women who were going through the same thing. Most women can find the situation to be very isolating, because it is not usually a subject they feel comfortable talking about to friends and family. Often couples keep it to themselves that they are having difficulty in getting pregnant,
- Can Your Shampoo Effect Your Chance of Conceiving?
When I recently released the new edition of my e-book, Personal Path to Pregnancy one of the topics that was included focused on the effects of environmental toxins on fertility. This is a verypopular topic right now as more research seems to indicate that there may be a strong link between environmental hazards and the negative impact on fertility. Here is an article I recently came across that

Its been almost a year and i'm still not having any luck can you help me?
My husband and I have been trying to concieve and have been unsuccessful for the past 5 months. 2 months ago I did some reading and decided to invest in ovulation test strips. Because my cycle is irregular, I decided to to take an ovulation test at the same time of every day of my cycle. They all came back negative, so I decided to try again. I got the same results. How is it possible that I am not ovulating at all during my cycle? My BMI falls under healthy weight and I exercise 3 times a week. Any suggestions for what am I doing wrong or not doing?
I think you answered your own question. If your BMI is too low, it can impact your ovulation.
No, I said that my BMI falls under HEALTHY WEIGHT, not underweight.
Sorry, I read that wrong. There are many reasons why someone may not ovulate. You should have a doctor run a basic fertility workup which will test your hormones at day 3 and day 21 of your cycle to see what is going on. They will test LH, FSH, estradiol and progesterone.
The doctor I normally see said that it is reccommended for us to just keep trying and go in to see them if we have been unsuccessful for a year. Should I go see someone else? Also, I have an irregular cycle. For the most part it lasts 22-24 days, but it is random and varies between 22-32 days. Does this matter?
If you have suspiciouns you are not ovulating there is no reason to wait a year.
I have been trying to get pregnant for aboput 2 years and i still have not luck
I know how u feel me and my husband tryed for 6 years with no sucess and went from doctor to doctor and then finally found one who did something for us, it was that I was not ovulating cause I have cyst on my ovaries they did surgery to remove the cyst and I finally starting ovulating, the best way to tell if you ovulate is with the test strips and if u start testing the day after u stop bleeding and test for 10-15 days is the best if u have irregular cycles. Now I am fnally pregnant with my first little miracle. Hope this helps.
After trying for 3 years, I got pregnent by insemination and after 45 days, I realized i was pregnant but were not able to find anything during the scan and was ddclared as aborted. Since then, I have been trying in natural ways and am not able to. This depresses me so much and not sure how to proceed. Doctors here just ask us to keep trying. Please advise.
I have been trying to get pregnent for two years now and I still have had no luck at all. I feel like there is something wrong but I hope not because if I cannot have children my life will be empty.

Nice hub Beth! Would you mind if I place a link to your hub from mine? My cousin had a real hard time getting pregnant. YEARS and YEARS and she and hubby spent so much money on invitro. She finally did conceive though :) Thanks again!
