This is a list of the best rated Wii games. There are a lot more games that are top rated. I just wanted to keep this list short. If you haven't played these games yet, I highly recommend you get them. Thousands of Wii players say that these games are awesome.

1. Super Mario Galaxy - This is probably the best Mario game out right now. Mario hits the galaxy and shoots from planet to planet in order to gather the precious stars that will save the lovely Princess Peach from Bowser - the familiar "evil" character in the Mario series of games. This particular Wii game has been one of the most popular for over a year, and continues to be loved by player everywhere. If you are a fan of the Mario Bros., you will love this game.

2. The Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass - is the fourteenth game in The Legend of Zelda series. It is also the sequel to The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker for the GameCube. The Phantom Hourglass takes place in a parallel world of The Wind Waker. In Phantom Hourglass Link has to save Tetra from Bellum. Link begins his quest to find the Phantom Hourglass which he can use to find the Spirits of Courage, Wisdom, and Power. Link learns he needs the Phantom Sword to defeat Bellum so he travels through several islands to find three pure metals. Link can then have the metals forged into the sword to defeat Bellum.

3. Mario Kart Game for Nintendo Wii with Official Wii Wheel - the latest most successful buzz in racing games goes to Mario Kart Wii which is controlled by Wheel shaped controller and hence the games is accessible to be enjoyed by novices as good as veterans. The game supports five different control options: Wii Wheel, Wii Remote, Wii Remote and Nunchuk combination, Classic Controller and even Nintendo GameCube controller and 12 players can play simultaneously via wii wi-fi connection.

4. New Super Mario Bros - This game is similar to other Mario games. In New Super Mario Bros Mario has to fight his way past Bowser's men to rescue Princess Peach. Mario has access to the Super Mushroom, the Fire FLower and the Starman to help him to obtain his goal. New Super Mario Bros has Mario traveling to eight worlds each having ten levels to get to the Princess Peach.

5. Nintendo Wii Play With Remote - This Wii game is just as popular with adults as it is with kids, but has gained it's ranking as one of the most popular games for kids in 2008 & 2009. The series of games with the Nintendo Wii Play with Remote is more along the lines of traditional ("old time") video games, with with a modern twist of excellent graphics and a few new more modern games tossed in for fun. Even though the games are more traditional, they are certainly not lacking in fun, and will keep entire families entertained and playing with each other for hours at a time.
