Beverly Hills Ultrasonic Liposuction

There is not a consensus among plastic surgeons as to which type of liposuction is the best to use on the market today. There are some Beverly Hills ultrasonic liposuction doctors that claim that this technique is the best one to use, and that it has been used on many different stars who have wanted to get rid of unwanted fat on their bodies. Choosing a good Beverly Hills ultrasonic liposuction doctor is critical, because there are some doctors that do not have the eye or the experience to do a good job with the ultrasonic liposuction techniques.
Ultrasonic liposuction is usually done in the doctor's office, although it is sometimes done in the hospital, depending on the health condition of the patient. Before the procedure is performed, the doctor and the patient meet to discuss what problem areas will be targeted during the procedure and also discuss what to do before and after the liposuction is performed.
Ultrasonic liposuction uses the technique of filling the fat under the skin that is going to be removed with a tumescent fluid, which is usually composed of a local anesthesia and a capillary constrictor. This makes the fat somewhat firm. After that, the fat is made liquid by the ultrasonic energy that is transmitted through a metal rod that is inserted into the area where the fat is. After the fat is thoroughly liquefied, it is removed through a very small incision made in the skin where a small tube is inserted to vacuum the fat out. The smaller the tube the better in order to reduce poor effects of liposuction.
Usually the procedure only requires the local anesthesia, but some Beverly Hills ultrasonic liposuction doctors will use a general anesthesia or an IV sedative. After the surgery, individuals will usually have about a forty-eight hour recovery time where another person should be present with the patient. There is also a body compression garment that must be worn by the individual for several weeks after the surgery to make sure the body recovers properly and can heal from the absence of fat in the areas liposuctioned. If the individual has had more than five liters removed from their body, such as with an ultrasonic full body liposuction, then the individual usually stays overnight in the hospital for observation, making sure that the body's systems stay constant after the loss of so much material.
