Big Government: Founding Fathers' Plan ?

Obama's rhetoric the Same as Bush's
The "Nanny" State
In Obama's Inaugural address, he called for the government to expand, so that it could solve the problems of the country. However, according to Sammy at Yidwithalid.blogspot.com, the Federalist papers written, by our country's Framers, spelled things out very differently.
Alexander Hamilton even argued against a Federal income tax, as he felt that with higher taxes, and therefore, money taken away from the people, the government becomes a burden to the people, rather than as one that assists the people. He also said that money taken away from the People also reduces consumption. Actually, the entire Republic was formed by revolting against the monarchical government of England that wanted to dig into the colonists' wallets.
Obama said "The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works." Again, it seems rather dubious that he has read those Federalist Papers, because basically the Framers of the constitution saw the role of the government as regulating relationships with Foreign nations, security against foreign dangers, maintenance of regulations between states, construction of public utilities, and provisions for governing. That is, very restrictive in scope.
We do know from Obama's memoirs, however, that he was a fan of Frantz Fanon' "Wretched of the Earth", Saul Alinsky's Rules for Radicals and Karl Marx, of course. So, possibly Obama is talking about them instead of the authors of the Constitution. From "Dreams from My Father": To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists and punk-rock performance poets. We smoked cigarettes and wore leather jackets. At night, in the dorms, we discussed neocolonialism, Franz Fanon, Eurocentrism, and patriarchy...we were resisting bourgeois society's stifling constraints.(p 100-101)
Now, Obama wants to expand the state into a "nanny" state, as we heard him in the primaries. So, he is pretending that there is some kind of Constitutional basis for this, but there is not.
We also heard his economic advisor, Robert Reich, testifying in Congress today that the "stimulus package" should only be for minorities, not for whites. Dr. Reich is another of the Clinton "retreads," who was probably involved in the infamous Community Reinvestment Act that is responsible for the sub-prime mortgage crisis and the current Economic Meltdown.

yeah I think FDR's big government solution was a total failure. Otherwise, the US would have recovered from the recession like Canada did in 2 yrs, not 12. I believe that WWII put a lot of people to work and obviously decimated much of our population anyway. I liked Ike, but to tell you the truth, he was not really fro "life liberty and the pursuit of happiness by all the people." He really didn't like the Warren Court.

I know about Obama being a distant cousin of the bush family,as well as Dick Chenny and a number of hollywood actors such as Christipher Reeves, and Brad pitt,as well as the Queen of England, and Vlad the Impalor as well as other famous personages in history, artists and writers too!
We as a nation are not likely to live up to the constitution of our founding fathers,at this point in history. The only way I see the possiblity of that happening ,in the future is if ,there is a group within our country that can bring it about, after a split from the powers that be!
Unfortunately, the nanny state has been around for awhile,if you don't already know about it google Catherine Austin Fitts ,former HUD secretary. She has a website that describes what our Government leaders have been doing since World war two,and what Former president Dwight D.Eisenhower was trying to warn the public about when he made his last public speech as president, not that we knew exactly what he was talking about at the time.
