Could This Be Lurking In Your Back Yard?

Bigfoot Lives In Wisconsin

Bigfoot Lives In Wisconsin!

(This is a true account of an encounter with a Bigfoot. The person who told me this story does not want their name revealed at this time to the public. However they would be willing to talk to Bigfoot researchers about this amazing subject. To the best of my knowledge the person who told me this story did indeed encounter the creature we call Bigfoot, or an animal similar to Bigfoot.)

Late Summer 1989

Central Wisconsin

I was raising pumpkins that year to sell around Halloween. We had a good 80 acres under cultivation with pumpkins being the main crop. We had good pumpkin growing weather and we ended up with a bumper crop.

My three kids helped a lot that year, they loved the pumpkin project and were excited about the profits we were going to make. Everyone had something special they wanted to buy with their "pumpkin money".

Everything was going great, the pumpkins were thriving, and everyday the kids would go out, walk the farm, and check on their pumpkins. It was a beautiful August day, and I was busy canning produce from the garden, when I heard the kids yelling over something. They raced through the kitchen and held up several pumpkins that looked like they were eaten by something huge, like a bear. You could see the squared off grooves in the pumpkins which were teeth marks left behind. Only the upper half of the pumpkins were eaten, the rest was thrown back on the ground. Strange! And the bite radius was another strange thing, it was simply huge, about 18" wide! Of course I am no expert at things like this, and I could have been looking at one bite mark directly next to another bite mark. But, that would still mean at bite radius of 9".

I could think of no animal with a mouth that large with squared off teeth, meaning it was not a meat eater. I told the kids to stay close to the house, of course they did not listen. I was a little worried about it at the time, but everyday life took over and with three kids I was too busy to dwell on it. I soon forgot the entire incident, until a week later.

All three kids came barreling in the kitchen, so excited and screaming that I thought someone had died at first. They were all talking at once, the youngest one was crying and wet its pants all over the kitchen floor.

After a few minutes of complete chaos they settled down and told me what they were so excited about. It seems they saw something that looked like a gorilla in the pumpkin patch, eating the pumpkins. I took the shotgun out of the gun case and decided to find out what was scaring my children. What went through my mind was that somehow a gorilla escaped from a zoo and made its way to my farm. Although it was a far fetched theory I

could think of no other logical explanation.

Of course by the time I drove down into the field, there was nothing there except for hundreds and hundreds of half eaten pumpkins. I knew then that whatever creature this was, it had to go. It was eating up our pumpkin profits, it was scaring my children, and it was getting to be aggravating. I knew then that I would have to take things into my own hands and try to frighten this creature into some other area. I had no intention of telling anyone else about this, I would handle it myself.

Bigfoot Chases A Cat

Bigfoot War!

Bigfoot War

Because I did not know what I was dealing with, I decided to be safe rather than sorry.

I was not used to shooting things, and I did not like guns, so I asked younger brothers for some help, telling them that there was something like a bear on my farm and I wanted them to scare it off to a new location.

My brothers Fred and Wil were both pretty good shots. I was not worried that they would be unable to defend themselves if need be. I was certainly not prepared for their reactions to whatever was living with us on the farm. I had never seen my brothers so frightened as when they came racing into the house, slamming the door behind them, locking my youngest child out on the front porch by accident. Both of them were shaking and they looked very pale.

It took a half a bottle of whiskey to calm them down before they were ready to talk about what they had seen. They both claimed they saw something like a huge man ape. The fur was black and brown and it moved like a human. My brothers guessed the height to be somewhere between 7-8 feet tall, and perhaps as much as 500 pounds in weight. This is not something you wanted to meet in the woods alone. It was the very stuff of nightmares, and I found it hard to sleep that night as I wondered what lurked in the woods, perhaps watching me and my children. I had convinced my brothers to live with me until we were able to get this situation under control. I was not about to leave my farm, I planned to stay and stand my ground. After all, I was here first, or at least I thought I was.

The last days of summer soon played out and the kids went back to school. Since my brothers' encounter with the beast (just a quick glimpse), we saw nothing more. Perhaps Bigfoot was as afraid of us as we were of it? Regardless, we did not tell another soul of our strange experiences, we did not want to be the talk of the town.

The nights were beginning to grow cooler and the moon was full when we first heard a strange noise in the middle of the night. It sounded as if someone was hitting a baseball bat against a tree. None of us ever heard a noise like that before, and we had no idea what it was or who was making it. Certainly no wild animals made a sound like this. We thought that it might be an echo carried on the cooler air currents.

That was not the only thing keeping us awake at night. People always say the worse thing about Bigfoot is how bad and awful they smell, all I can say is that is the understatement of all time. Imagine the smell of rotting meat and a skunk, mixed together. One moon filled night I woke up to the most putrid odor I have ever smelled. It was so strong, and so overwhelming that I actually threw up, as did several other family members. Never have I smelled anything so vile in my life, and I have changed some wicked diapers in my day. Nothing, nothing on earth can even compare to the odor of Bigfoot, if indeed that is what we were smelling. I have lived in rural areas all my life, I know bad smells, but this went way beyond that.

Bigfoot is very active at night, and if Bigfoot does not sleep, nobody sleeps. It seems as if these beasts knew our every move, and just when everyone was tucked in for the night and ready to fall asleep all hell would break loose. It was almost like a tribal uprising of sorts. I think that after Bigfoot saw my two brothers, and how weak and sickly they seemed.... Bigfoot figured they had nothing to fear from us.

Every night right after 11:00 PM the fun would start. There would be a lot of the wood on wood noises, and that was scary because it seemed to come from many areas. Were we surrounded by Bigfoot or did it just sound that way? Of course the smell always seemed to be there, but it got worse at night. I assumed they moved in closer to the house to see what we were doing. My youngest daughter swore something big was watching her through an upstairs bedroom window, however we shook that off as an over active imagination, but all these years later she claims it is true. Perhaps Bigfoot was standing on something, and was just able to peer into the window?

After awhile we got used to the noise and bad smell, Bigfoot quickly gave up after about a half hour and things would quiet down after that. We would turn off all the lights and look out the windows hoping to see a Bigfoot. We were hoping for an early snow that year, because with snow on the ground and a bright moon it was almost as light as daylight. My brothers had caught Bigfoot fever. Never have I seen two guys so engrossed. They simply ate, slept and breathed Bigfoot. They would daydream about being the first human to capture a Bigfoot, and they devoted endless hours of their spare time in conversations pertaining to Bigfoot.

During this time, I did not really believe they had seen a Bigfoot, however I knew there was something big living in the woods, something making those noises, something that seemed intelligent enough to know our schedules, and I was grateful for my brothers being there with me and my children. I doubt I would have been able to sleep at all if I was there alone with the children. Being busy with work and cooking and cleaning for 3 children and 2 brothers, I had little time to think about much else. Then one cold night that all changed.

It was right around midnight when I woke up to a noise that sounded like an enraged bull. If you ever lived on a farm you know what that sounds like and how scary it can be. It was very loud and whatever was bellowing sounded to be simply enraged. My brothers met me in the upstairs hallway, their deer rifles cocked and on the ready. For some reason the children never woke up that night, why I do not know, to this day it is a mystery to me.

I did not know what was making this horrible noise but I knew it was dangerous. We looked out the windows but could see nothing at all. The noise seemed to be coming from the woods, and then we heard more bellowing from another area of the woods! We were wondering if Bigfoot was fighting each other or just getting themselves psyched up to come after us. Whoever says Bigfoot is a gentle giant never heard what we heard that night. Soon the entire woods was alive with strange noises, we had no idea what was going on, then we saw pumpkins flying through the air, hundreds of pumpkins flying all over the place, and it soon became clear that Bigfoot was throwing pumpkins, stones, rocks, and branches at not us, but at each other. It was an all and all Bigfoot war. When a rock or pumpkin found its mark and a Bigfoot was hit there was a horrible screeching noise as if it were in horrible pain.

My oldest brother and I were hiding by the edge of the pumpkin field. We laid in a ditch and watched the Bigfoot war, which quickly became hilarious.

On one side of the field was what looked like an alpha male Bigfoot. He walked back and forth and thumped his chest. He hunched his shoulders to appear bigger and meaner. On the other side of the field were two smaller males, probably trying to move in on the alpha male's territory. They too were pacing back and forth, thumping their chests and trying to look as mean as possible.

They would take turns hurling pumpkins back and forth, and instead of running or ducking when an incoming pumpkin came near, they just stood there and let it hit them. Then they howled as if they were mortally wounded or something. Neither side was willing to run over and attack. I think Bigfoot's main weapons are its ugliness and the horrible stench they leave behind. They certainly would not win any medals for valor or courage.

My brother and I laid in the ditch and watched for maybe a good half an hour. The howling and bellowing went on and on and we were wondering when they would get tired out and go back home, wherever that was. Finally we had seen enough, after awhile it got a little boring. We decided it would be best to scare them off to some other location. My brother got up and shot a few times over their heads with his deer rifle. That was enough to make them shut up instantly. The two younger Bigfoot ran into the woods. The older alpha male jumped when he heard the shot go off and then he looked as if he fainted, but came to when he hit the ground with a huge thud. He got up, farted really, really loud, and ran into the woods. To say the least my brother and I just about died with laughter!

After this happened, I was never scared of Bigfoot again. After that night we never saw any more Bigfoot, I think those shots scared them away for good. Obviously Bigfoot likes pumpkins, because over half our crop was gone. I know deer like pumpkin too, but we could tell the difference between the deer eaten pumpkins and the pumpkins we thought were eaten by Bigfoot.

If you want to find a Bigfoot, use your nose. If there is a Bigfoot around, you will smell it, even if it is very far away. It is a unique odor that is very hard to forget. Sometimes I think I can still smell it when I am that field where we raised pumpkins.

After this experience, I believe there is something related to the giant apes of the past that has survived and continue to live in remote regions. Is this a stretch of the imagination? Not really, Bigfoot reminds me a lot of a gorilla, only more human. Maybe it is the missing link? Who knows?

We live in a sandy area where it is hard to see foot prints, and other than the pumpkins, we had no physical evidence of Bigfoot. Furthermore, because my children did not want people to make fun of them, we told no one of our Bigfoot encounter.

All these years later, we still live on the same farm, but we have yet to see another Bigfoot. But, you never know what could happen. We believe that one day, the Bigfoot will return. We would have no trouble recognizing the big alpha male who farted like a banshee, and we still laugh whenever we talk about the "Bigfoot War".

Bigfoot In Wisconsin in the News

  • Until we start killing more deer, none of us are safePioneer Press3 days ago

Hunters are not taking enough deer in Minnesota, Wisconsin, maybe the entire country. We know this to be true because in most neighborhoods in St. Paul, you have to look for deer when you back out of your driveway. The other night, I said to the CP, 'Watch out for deer,'' only to have a doe standing in the street around the next bend.

The film that Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin made in 1967 in Northern California at Bluff Creek of Bigfoot was real. Here is what they filmed 42 years ago on October 20 1967. Long before Jesus was born there were thousands of slaves who ran off around the world and started their own countries. When these slaves ran off there was a large group of men and boys of all different ages and sizes that took off and ended up in Africa. Some of them were big and tall. Some as tall as 9 ft. or taller. There were giants back then just like we have giants now. Some of these men and boys went exploring to Borneo and caught female Orangutans and took them to South America and had sex with them and created the American Indian. The men and boys who stayed in Africa caught female Gorillas and had sex with them and created the Black man. When scientists found the bones in Africa they thought we evolved from a female Chimpanzee. But it wasn't a natural evolution it was a man made evolution. That's where Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Orangutan Man and the Skunk Ape comes from. They are half man and half Gorilla and half man and half Orangutan. They use to call the American Indian the red man. The Orangutan has reddish hair. When those men bred out the hair the Indian's skin remained red. The Gorilla has black hair and skin. When those men bred out the hair the Black man's skin remained black. Bigfoot, Sasquatch, Yeti, Orangutan Man and the Skunk Ape are not prehistoric creatures from millions of years ago but they are man made creatures from several thousand years ago. Some of the Indians and Africans are tall. And some of the Bigfoots are tall. They are tall because the men who created them were tall. Scientists believe that we evolved from a female Chimpanzee. Let me ask you a question. Have you ever seen an 8 ft. tall Chimpanzee? I haven't either. The creature that Roger Patterson and Bob Gimlin filmed in 1967 was half man and half Gorilla. It was a female Bigfoot and they named her Patty. Patty was not a man in a costume, she is not our missing link and she is not a figment of our imagination. Patty was a creature that was created by men that had sex with female Gorillas and Orangutans a long time ago.

JC- If what you are saying is true, it can be proved with DNA, and certainly by now we would have seen it on the History Channel.

The American Indians are Asian. They came to North America when the Bering Straits were frozen over. The Native Americans of the east coast of America came from Europe during the last ice age. They simply salied along the rim of the glacier until they landed in North America. This theory is new, but it has also been recently proven. Take a good look at Indians, their skin is a little darker than a white person, but they certainly are not red. They got the name "redman" from the various plants they rubbed into their skin that made their skin a dark copper color. If anyone could be called the "redman" it would be the white race, just look at how often most people, especially older white people blush bright red! One of my biggest problems for me is having very light skin and easily turning bright red when even a little flustered. Yes, it gets to be embarrassing!

If man was having sex with apes, I doubt an offspring would ensue. The genetic mutations would be lethal. This too has been proven with DNA. And knowing mans lusty nature, if they really were having sex with apes, they would still probably be doing that! ( Maybe they still are!) Anyhow, we don't see a whole new batch of strange Man/apes walking around every generation or so!

Scientists believe that all humans can trace their origins back to a single black woman (Lucy) who lived in Africa. I do not know if that is true or not, but it makes sense.

And let us not forget that other angle...that God made man in his own image. A great number of people believe we were "seeded" here from an alien race. I don't know if this idea holds water either, but it is interesting.

Many things can now be proven with DNA, and one day soon, I believe that all these things that we wonder about can be proven one way or another.

As for Bigfoot, I believe he is simply a great ape that has been living here all along. Native Americans knew about him too, as well as many other tribes of people throughout the world. If you look at any ape species, they look very human, but they are NOT half man, half ape....they are 100% ape.

And, did God make man in his own image? I believe that is true. I believe that we are of mystical origin as is the very earth itself. I believe a supernatural power is responsible for all on the earth and I believe that we will never really know all the mysteries that is GOD.

AMEN!

Hey magnoliazz, I could read this hub as truth or fiction and find it interesting! Perhaps I will forward it to my brother in Wisconsin. He can be on the lookout. Did your little one recover from this terrible fright? As another mother of three, my instincts flashed red flags as you related the wet pants incident.

Thanks for your tempered response to Jesus Christ. You are very patient. I wasn't aware that the Native Americans in the US arrived from different locations- what about the midwest tribes? As the Lakota say, mitakuye oyasin- we are all related!
